Bolton fans in mass brawl with bottles thrown and break into stadium
Hundreds of Bolton fans outside the ground, ignoring club advice to stay away from the University of Bolton Stadium, thought so too, letting off fireworks in celebration.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they had gained a dispersal order on Tuesday evening, which gives them powers to move on crowds as a “last resort” in the event of anti-social behaviour.

Police condemn Man U fans’ ‘reckless and dangerous’ anti-Glazer protest with officer hospitalised after ‘bottle attack’
The Red Devils' Premier League clash with arch-rivals Liverpool was postponed after hundreds of supporters stormed onto the Old Trafford pitch.
Thousands more gathered outside in protest at the club's owners, the Glazer family, as police confirmed two officers were injured in clashes, with one needing emergency treatment in hospital after being 'attacked with a bottle'.
A Greater Manchester Police statement read: "Officers were aware of a protest planned to take place in Old Trafford today (Sunday 2 May) and were working closely alongside partners to ensure those that attended were kept safe whilst enabling their right to peaceful protest.
"Early this afternoon, groups of protestors began to gather at Old Trafford and separately at The Lowry Hotel, Salford where the United players were staying. By late afternoon around 200 protestors had gathered outside the Lowry and over 1,000 at Old Trafford.
"Officers continued to closely monitor the situation, engaging with those present but as the groups grew in size; it became clear that many of those present were not intending to exercise their right to peaceful protest.
"Flares were let off and bottles thrown at officers.
"Protestors outside Old Trafford became especially aggressive and antagonistic towards police before a group of about 100 forced entry to the ground with some United staff having to lock themselves in rooms.
"Those in the stadium were evicted by officers but outside on the forecourt hostility grew with bottles and barriers being thrown at officers and horses.
"Two officers have been injured with one officer being attacked with a bottle and sustaining a significant slash wound to his face, requiring emergency hospital treatment.
"With the situation increasing in hostility, additional officers had to be deployed and officers had to be drawn in from neighbouring forces to assist Greater Manchester officers.

Hundreds of fans descend on Emirates Stadium as protestors call for club owner to be ousted
Hundreds of Arsenal fans descended on North London’s Emirates Stadium tonight as protesters called for the club’s owner Stan Kronke to be ousted following the collapse of the controversial European Super League.
The protests came ahead of Arsenal’s Friday Premier League match against Everton, with fans gathering on the stadium’s concourse more than two hours before kickoff, banging metal screens above the main box office, lighting flares, setting off fireworks, blaring airhorns and chanting ‘We want Kroenke out,’ and ‘We want our Arsenal back.’
Amid the chaotic scenes, one fan reportedly suffered a broken leg and a head injury after shocking footage showed the supporter falling from the top of the club’s ticket office during the Protests.

Ajax Amsterdam clinched their 35th Dutch league title on Sunday with a 4-0 victory over Emmen as police appealed in vain to supporters not to gather outside the Johan Cruyff Arena to celebrate.
Before full-time, Amsterdam police urged no more fans to head to the stadium as the nearby streets already were too busy.
Thousands of fans were celebrating the title long before the final whistle, setting off red flares and fireworks outside the stadium, which was empty because of coronavirus lockdown measures.
Jurrien Timber, Sebastien Haller, Devyne Rensch and Davy Klaassen scored as Ajax overran Emmen to take the title with three matches to play in the Eredivisie.
The victory completed a domestic league and cup double for the Amsterdam powerhouse for the second time in three seasons and came just two days after coach Erik ten Hag extended his contract despite speculation he was a potential replacement for the fired Jose Mourinho at Tottenham in the Premier League.
“It's a great moment. It's a shame the stadium is not full,” captain Dusan Tadic told ESPN.
He said reaching the quarterfinals of the Europa League, where Ajax lost to Roma, was also an achievement, “but we are Ajax and we want more.”
After celebrations in the empty Johan Cruyff Arena, the players moved to the stadium's elevated parking lot to show off the season's two trophies to thousands of cheering fans, largely ignoring social distancing guidelines, below as smoke from dozens of flares filled the air.

Lens team bus daubed with insults ahead of PSG game
French police said Saturday that two people had been arrested after the Lens team bus was vandalised while parked outside their Paris hotel ahead of a Ligue 1 game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Images on social networks and French media showed the bus, which has a huge Lens logo, smeared with yellow graffiti saying "PSG", "Paris SG", "Ultras Paris" and another insulting Lens.
The two people were arrested after the attack, a police source said, without giving further details.
Lens said they would not comment because they "wanted to concentrate on our match" but indicated that they might press charges.
PSG, second in Ligue 1, host fifth-placed Lens on Saturday afternoon in a crucial duel in the race for the title and European places.
The incident follows an infamous banner displayed by PSG fans at the 2008 French League Cup final between the clubs. It attacked 'Ch'tis', as people from the northwest corner of France are known, saying "Paedophiles, unemployed, inbreds: welcome to the Ch'tis"
Five fans were convicted in the case, fined and banned by PSG.
PSG released a statement on Saturday supporting Lens.
"Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the intolerable acts committed against RC Lens by individuals claiming to be supporters of the club," PSG said in Saturday's statement.
"Police investigations are underway. The club reserves the right to take all appropriate sanctions and legal measures if it appears that some of its supporters are associated with these shameful acts," PSG added, saying it offered "support and sympathy for RC Lens and its fans".
A Lens representative said the bus has been cleaned up, although there are still some traces of the graffiti.

Holland : Feyenoord fans clash with police during final training before match with Ajax - 08/05/2021
Source : https://nltimes.nl/
Riot police (ME) carried out charges against Feyenoord fans who attacked officers outside the training complex of the football club in Rotterdam on Saturday. Earlier that day was the last practice for Feyenoord before their match with Ajax on Sunday afternoon.
The situation escalated when some fans began pelting officers and police cars with fireworks, street signs, sticks and stones at which point the riot police intervened.
After the ME, carried out charges against the supporters, the situation calmed down again. Police said they do not expect fans to regroup in other parts of the city, according to NU.nl.
Hundreds of fans had gathered at the training complex earlier this morning. At the request of the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, police were already stationed there, after fans misbehaved during a Feyenoord practice earlier this month.

Holland : Fireworks damage Amsterdam cafe frequented by Ajax fans - 09/05/2021
Source : https://www.kelownadailycourier.ca/
A blast likely caused by powerful fireworks late Friday night smashed the front window of a cafe in Amsterdam that is known as a gathering place for fans of soccer club Ajaxe.
The incident came a day after a similar blast damaged a bar in Rotterdam frequented by fans of rival club Feyenoord.
Nobody was hurt in either of the blasts, which happened before the final meeting of the season between Ajax and Feyenoord on Sunday afternoon. No fans will be allowed at the match because of coronavirus lockdown measures.
Police in Amsterdam said they are investigating the incident at the Vak West cafe.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Amsterdam on Friday who is suspected of involvement in a series of similar blasts in Rotterdam including at two bars known as meeting places for Feyenoord fans. Police said in a tweet that they are still investigating the motive.
Ajax won the Dutch Eredivisie league last week for the 35th time.

Holland : Rotterdam is filing a lawsuit against police strike at Feyenoord-Ajax - 09/05/2021
Source : https://netherlandsnewslive.com/
The municipality of Rotterdam has instituted urgent preliminary relief proceedings to prevent a police strike on Sunday afternoon during the Feyenoord-Ajax match. The court confirms this. The case is scheduled to occur “in pencil” at 11.00 am, but can still be called off because on Sunday morning there are still consultations with the deputy mayor and the police unions.
The unions ACP, ANPV and NPB asked their members to stop working on Saturday evening from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The premier league match starts at 2.30 p.m. in De Kuip and it becomes difficult to keep it going without police escort – despite the fact that no audience is allowed in the stadium. With the strike, the unions want to draw attention to their safety and force a breakthrough in collective bargaining.
“In recent months, weeks, days, police officers have had a lot to choose from and today too things went wrong in Barneveld and Rotterdam,” wrote the unions on Saturday as motivation for the strike action. In Barneveld a demonstration against the corona measures turned into riots and in Rotterdam Feyenoord supporters came to blows with the police. “Police officers ended up in hospital after being attacked with fireworks, bottles and other materials. They are still on the front line while most of the agents have not yet been vaccinated, ”the union writes.

Scotland : Rangers fans warned by police not to celebrate title in large numbers - 11/05/2021
Source : https://www.standard.co.uk/
The warning comes after a supporters’ group posted an invitation to fans to march to the city centre after Saturday’s game.
Police have urged Rangers fans not to gather in large numbers when their team collects the Scottish Premiership trophy after a supporters’ group announced plans for a march.
The Union Bears group posted an invitation to supporters to march from Ibrox to George Square in Glasgow city centre after Saturday’s final league game of the season against Aberdeen
Police Scotland has warned such a plan would be against coronavirus regulations.
Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland, Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow Division, said: “Ahead of the match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on Saturday, an appropriate policing plan is in place to maintain public safety and minimise any disruption to the community.

Sporting Lisbon FINALLY end 19-year wait to lift Portuguese league title after Paulinho scores only goal to beat struggling Boavista... but wild celebrations are marred by violence as fans clash with police
Sporting supporters bearing the club's green and white colours took to the streets to celebrate wrapping up the title, waving flags while chanting 'champions' in unison.
Police had warned fans not to congregate in the street and obey social distancing guidelines if they were to celebrate in and around the Alvalade Stadium.
However, while many peacefully celebrated the title win, small groups of Sporting fans were involved in clashes with police, marring what was supposed to be a joyous occasions for those fans involved.
Sporting's title comes three years after the club endured one of the worst crises in club history when dozens of fans with their faces covered forced their way into the team's training complex and assaulted players and staff.
The shocking attack, which attracted worldwide headlines, came after Sporting missed out on a Champions League berth, which compounded ongoing internal disputes involving players, club directors and its controversial president at the time.
No fans were allowed inside of Sporting's Alvalade Stadium but thousands of supporters had gathered across the city of Lisbon in hopes of being able to celebrate the much-anticipated title.

PSP arrested nine people on the day of the derby
PSP announced last Saturday that nine people were arrested in the hours before the derby between Benfica and Sporting (4-3) at the Estádio da Luz in the 33rd round of the league. The police device was placed next to the Benfica and Sporting stadiums to avoid confrontation between supporters and gatherings at a time of pandemic.
«In one of the arteries of Lumiar parish, where there are several restaurants and beverage establishments, a higher number of people were concentrated, with disregard for public health regulations and at some point there was interference from supporters, eruption and introduction of pyrotechnic artifacts on the public street that forced the PSP to act after it dispersed this crowd and closed several food and drink establishments, ”the police public safety statement said, revealing that he had arrested nine people.
“One of these trailer disruptions involving the PSP resulted in several objects being thrown at the police, damaging a police vehicle, resulting in the interception and arrest of nine people between the ages of 17 and 36.”
