England : Police hunt football thugs after violence at West Brom v Millwall - 12/09/2021
Source : https://www.expressandstar.com/
Police are searching for supporters involved in violence outside The Hawthorns after footage emerged of a brawl involving West Brom and Millwall fans.
The people involved have been warned they could face lifetime match bans after fighting broke out, bottles were thrown and a gate ripped open.
The violence happened after West Brom drew 1-1 with Millwall at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
One of the brawls was captured on a video shared on social media and shows punches and kicks being thrown as a blue gate separating home and away fans is torn down.
Others can be seen making a break for it to escape the ugly scenes as a crowd storms the fence.
Bottles and cans are thrown in both directions and among the violence is a man lying on the floor, apparently unconscious, as drinks land around him.
Some Baggies fans stood around the man in an attempt to protect him from the violence as others shout "We are Albion".
One steward can be seen in the video but no police are present.

30 injured as football fans clash in Germany
German police say 30 people were injured, two seriously, after rival sets of football fans rioted following a heated fourth-tier football match between Preussen Muenster and Rot-Weiss Essen.
Essen sealed a 3-2 away win with a late goal on Tuesday evening and trouble, which had already been brewing in the Muenster stadium, got out of hand when rival fans clashed on streets near the ground.
Police say that of the 30 reported injuries, 24 people were treated in or around the stadium, four were taken to hospital and two received emergency care.
Several stadium stewards were among the casualties, as was a pensioner, who was badly hurt after being pushed off stairs in the stadium when away fans charged.
Muenster police say investigations are ongoing into allegations of dangerous bodily harm, resisting arrest and damaging property.
German daily Bild reported that 19 people were arrested.

AS Monaco - O.Marseille - 11/09/2021
Source: https://www.foot-national.com/
As the Monaco supporters' club writes, in addition to the disastrous attitude of the players on the pitch, the supporters are especially angry with the club following its attitude, in particular on the fact of selling places to Marseille supporters outside of their dedicated area. The establishment of a cordon between stewards and police officers within the "Pésages" stand was not understood either. And above all, the supporters' club condemn the violent attitudes suffered by supporters of the ASM during the meeting from the police, with a physical safety which abused blows of batons during the game as it is written.

West Ham fans arrested in Croatia ahead of Hammers UEFA Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb
A small number of West Ham fans have been arrested in Zagreb following an incident in a local cafe on Wednesday evening.

However, the Croatian press have reported that following injuries sustained by a Croatian citizen a number of West Ham supporters were detained.
A police statement read: "Yesterday, September 15, 2021 at around 9.25 pm at the address in Zagreb in Tkalčićeva Street, police officers who were deployed for security work on the occasion of tonight's match that is taking place at Stadion Maksimir noticed tensions between guests on the terrace of the restaurant followed by a fight between several people, ie visiting and home fans.
"Police officers in a timely manner, using coercive means and batons, isolated and detained four British citizens aged 23, 20, 25 and 23 who were in a group that was physically and using other objects (chairs, mugs, bottles) attacked two Croatian citizens aged 26 and 21. In the conflict, given that the 26-year-old was injured, an ambulance was called while the 21-year-old had no injuries."
Two other British men aged 31 and 35 were arrested following their involvement in the altercation.
Despite this isolated incident the city is calm and there has been no other incidents reported with West Ham fans enjoying the build-up to their first ever Europa League group stage.
There are expected to be around 2,000 Hammers fans in Zagreb ahead of the match with Mark Noble thrilled the supporters have made it over.

Dozen arrests made after Leicester City and Napoli fans involved in violent clashes
Missiles were thrown and fans clambered over seats to confront each other at the end of Leicester City's 2-2 draw with Napoli at the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening
At least 12 arrests have been made after Leicester City’s Europa League tie with Napoli ended with violence in the stands.
Police officers had to wade into the crowd at the full-time whistle at the King Power Stadium after home and away supporters clashed.
Missiles were launched between the two sets of fans and skirmishes broke out in the corner where the away end meets the north family stand.
City supporters clambered over the netting dividers to confront their rivals from Napoli, while video footage shows away fans removing their belts to use as weapons.
Stewards were initially overwhelmed and dozens of police officers had to step in to separate the fights. After a couple of minutes, the police gained control of the situation, though missiles continued to be thrown in both directions.
Multiple announcements had to be made over the speaker system telling City fans in the blocks either side of the away end to leave the ground and “respect your club”.
Napoli supporters were kept back until the rest of the stadium had been cleared.
At 11.15pm, Leicestershire Police’s Leicester City events Twitter account said that a dozen arrests had been made, describing the behaviour of some fans as a “disgrace”.
They said: “All the excitement for Europe spoilt once again by the minority. CCTV will be viewed and those responsible will be held to account.
"Behaviour by some was a disgrace. Well done and thank you to those who didn't get involved. Twelve arrests so far and counting.”
