German players snub fans after 'terrible' chants during Czech Republic match
Germany fans were heard chanting and shouting throughout the minute's silence and whistling through the national anthems ahead of their World Cup qualifier against the Czechs. Germany eventually won the game 2-1. Marcus Bark, a journalist for German network ARD tweeted after the game that Julian Brandt had said: "If chants with a National Socialist background are sung, then there is no reason to support that and go to the stands." Defender Mats Hummels was equally forthright after the game: "That was so wrong that there was never even a question of going to the stands." Tobias Altschäffl of SportBild reported some strong words from Hummels (see the Tweet at the foot of the page) concerning insults to Timo Werner, the German FA and Nazi chants heard from the stand:
"The chants were terrible, a catastrophe," he said. "It started during the minute's silence. Some behaved badly then. Timo Werner was insulted. Then the fans started to chant that crap. We distance ourselves completely from that. We don't want to have anything to do with it. I'm sorry for those who didn't chant anything... We don't need that nonsense at our games. "They are hooligans. They have nothing to do with football fans. We have to make sure that these people are taken out of the stadium." While coach Joachim Löw wasn't aware of the incidents, chants of "S*** DFB" were also heard at the match. "Those people who shout that certain football institutions are breaking football, are breaking it themselves," Hummels is also quoted as saying. Germany's sporting director Oliver Bierhoff said there were two blocks of Germany fans, one organized by the DFB and another, which was not organized by the governing body.

'I'm full of rage!' - Low slams Germany hooligans - 03/09/2017
Source : http://www.goal.com/
A section of the Germany support who disrupted a minute's silence on Friday are not supporters of the national team, says Joachim Low.
Joachim Low has lambasted a section of Germany supporters who chanted and whistled during a minute's silence ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier with Czech Republic. Before the Group C match got underway in Prague some German fans were heard shouting alleged Nazi-era chants, while the Czech national anthem was also targeted.
Germany's players opted not to applaud their travelling support after the 2-1 win because of the incidents, with match-winner Mats Hummels labelling those responsible as "hooligans". Low rounded on the culprits on Sunday as he previewed Germany's next qualifying match with Norway, condemning their actions and insisting they do not represent what the national team stands for. "I'm extremely disappointed about what happened during the minute's silence," he told a media conference. "I am neither upset nor sad. I am full of rage, I think, perhaps, that explains my feeling better.
"Those are not our fans. I'm disgusted that these so-called fans embarrassed our country on an international stage.
"As a team we want to stand for good values and a tolerant, open-minded Germany. I think that every one of those people should not be allowed in the stadium."

Brawl between Coventry City and Chesterfield fans sees three arrested
Three people were arrested after fighting broke out between Coventry City and Chesterfield supporters ahead of Saturday’s match. The trouble flared shortly before kick-off at the Proact Stadium with fans clashing just yards away next to the Donkey Derby pub.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the fight to come forward as soon as possible.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “No-one was seriously injured in the fight, which involved a small number of supporters from both sides. “Three men from Chesterfield were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released under investigation.
“Were you walking in the area and did you see the clash happen? It took place at about 2.40pm next to a busy road and we believe there may also be motorists who saw it but have yet to come forward.

England : 'Baby squad' hooligan given ten-year football ban breaches order - to watch Champions League game - 06/09/2017
Source : http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/
The temptation of Leicester City’s Champion’s League quarter-final festivities in the city centre proved too much for a convicted hooligan found guilty of breaching a football banning order.
Damian Anstiss, of Tyndale Street, in the city’s West End, is the subject of a 10-year order – the longest ban of its kind – for his part in a mass brawl involving more than 100 Leicester and Coventry City yobs hours before the two teams met in a Championship fixture back in 2008.
It bars the 31-year-old from going within two miles of a match involving Leicester City – an area specified on a map – four hours either side of a game, and means he must surrender his passport to police whenever England or City play abroad.
He went on trial at Loughborough Magistrates’ Court after denying a charge of breaching the order before City’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Spain’s Atlético Madrid on April 18.
Prosecutor Harbinder Gahir said the defendant was recognised by a police “spotter” at 6.10pm drinking outside the JukeBox bar in St Nicholas Place, Leicester, yards from a fan zone in Jubilee Square where hundreds of Atlético and City fans were mingling ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.
He said Anstiss, who was known to police as a member of a “hooligan firm following Leicester City who call themselves the Baby Squad”, was seen “standing in the corner of the outside smoking area of the pub” and arrested.
The banning order had been issued by Coventry Crown Court in December 2008, when the defendant was handed a 12-month prison term for violent disorder as one of 20 Leicester hooligans sentenced for their part in an organised fight in Coventry.
Mr Gahir said the defendant was issued with a black and white A4 map on his release which clearly marked out the exclusion zone.
He said: “I have seen this map and can confirm he was seen within the exclusion zone imposed by the Crown Court.”
Alison Gurden, defending, said it was impossible to be certain using the A4 map that her client was inside the restricted area.
Taking the stand in his defence, the unemployed father-of-three denied being a member of the Baby Squad and said he “never received” a more detailed, A3 colour map outlining the exclusion area which police said they sent as a reminder in 2014.
Anstiss said: “I was going by the map that came with the order. I know where I can and can’t go and I was outside the zone.”
The court heard that, apart from a single breach in 2010, Anstiss had otherwise complied with the banning order.
The defendant said he had applied to the UK Football Policing Unit for it to be lifted early and a hearing was set for May 22, last year – just weeks after his arrest.
He said: “I’m a changed man. I’ve grown up now I’m a father and stayed out of trouble. Why would I risk it with just weeks to go?”
Mr Gahir replied: “The fact is you knew exactly where you were going. The game against Atlético was the biggest in Leicester City’s history and the temptation was too great.”
After an hour’s deliberation, magistrates returned a verdict of guilty.
Magistrate Tuula Hastings told Anstiss: “We are sure the location where you were seen was within the restricted zone.
"That should have been clear to you, even on the black and white map.”
The court heard that the defendant has previous convictions for assault, affray, possessing an offensive weapon and failing to answer bail.
In mitigation, Ms Gurden said Anstiss had not breached his order to “commit any violence or disorder”.
He was handed a three-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £230 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
His football banning order remains in place and will run until the end of next year.

Celtic fan arrested after running on the pitch and trying to KICK Kylian Mbappe during Champions League clash with PSG
A CELTIC supporter has been arrested after he invaded the pitch and tried to kick Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
Police confirmed the culprit was arrested following the incident shortly before half-time in the Champions League clash at Parkhead on Tuesday.
The French giants were running riot and were completely dominating their hosts when the shocking attempted assault happened.
They had just taken a three-goal lead courtesy of Edinson Cavani‘s penalty when the fan invaded the pitch moments later around five minutes before the break.
Pictures have emerged showing the supporter being dragged away by stewards, and Celtic could face Uefa action.
A source told the Scottish Sun: “He ran on the pitch and took a kick at the player, but missed.
“It took everybody by surprise.
“Before you knew it, a group of stewards got to him and took him off the pitch.”
And Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers condemned the fan, saying: “The reaction of the crowd said it all.
“It was disappointing and you don’t want to see a supporter getting onto the pitch at any ground.
“It was bitterly disappointing and the club will deal with that person, we didn’t want to see it.”
The pitch invader was booed by Celtic fans following the incident which leaves the Hoops facing sanctions from European football’s governing body.
BT Sport presenter Darrell Currie discussed the incident during the half-time analysis with Bhoys legends Henrik Larsson and John Hartson.
He said: “It’s not been a good night so far for Celtic and a fan came on the pitch as well, confronted Mbappe.
“And I can tell you, all the rest of the fans around us were fuming, furious with him going on the pitch.”
