Plymouth Argyle - Exeter City - ??/02/2002

Source: forum

Plymouth had a "few" out tonight....200 TCE plus 100 plymouth youth!!!!

"J" from city rang to say sorry, but no one was making the trip to HP, due to their weekend action at Oxford (why that matters i dont know!!)

Inside the ground 16,400...the scum had about 10 lads (front right hand corner) of the way end..(and shitlads at that..early 20's)..

After the game TCE had a little run at the OB in the car park..but OB soon sorted that out!!

Plymouth were class on the pitch tonight (3-0)...but this one was always going to be a non-event!

Football fans arrested at Midlands airport - 13/02/2002

Source: BBC

Three football fans could face a minimum two-year ban from matches after being seized at East Midlands Airport.
The arrests were part of a police crackdown to stop suspected soccer thugs travelling to Wednesday night's match between England and Holland.

John Crofts, 39, of Leicester, and Dale Campbell, 39, and Daniel Cyster, 23, from Nottingham, were apprehended as they tried to catch a flight to Amsterdam.

Passports seized

All three men appeared before magistrates in Leicester on Wednesday as police set about attempting to impose orders banning them from attending games.

Officers have been stationed at the airport for several days to apprehend any known hooligans who attempt to make the trip to Holland.

The surveillance is designed to identify and apprehend anyone subject to a travel ban under the Football Disorder Act 2000.

Mr Crofts, of Archway Road, Leicester; Mr Campbell, of Cardine Walk, St Ann's; and Mr Cyster, of Wilfred Grove, The Meadows, could now be banned from football for a minimum of two years when they next appear in court.

All three were bailed until 27 February.

District Judge Richard Holland ordered each of them to surrender his passport and not attempt to leave the country before then.

Soccer Fans on Disorder Charges - 13/02/2002

Source: Coventry Evening Telegraph

Fourteen suspected football hooligans have been charged with violent disorder following a large-scale police operation. They have been bailed to appear before Coventry magistrates next month. Two more men have been released on police bail pending further inquiries. Detectives from Coventry set up Operation Rama with colleagues from Hampshire Police after Coventry City’s game against Portsmouth erupted into trouble on September 22 last year. Fans from both sides began fighting and the brawl spilled over into the area reserved for disabled spectators. Last month, police took the unusual step of printing posters with pictures of 35 men, from Coventry and Portsmouth, whom they wanted to question in connection with the violence. Dawn raids were launched at six homes in Coventry and one in Rugby last Wednesday to arrest some of the suspects. A number of other men attended the police station voluntarily last week. Another man was arrested at the weekend just before the kick-off of Coventry City’s game at Crewe. Det Sgt Ian Knowles said one man, believed to be from the Coventry area, remained unidentified.

Violence mars Hatters win

Mounted Met police, and 180 Beds officers with dogs could not prevent ugly scenes in the town on Saturday.
A man was stabbed, car and pub windows smashed and 18 people arrested as Luton witnessed its worst football trouble for many years.

Violence flared before, during and after the top-of-the-table match between Luton Town and Plymouth Argyle at Kenilworth Road.

Fearing clashes between rival supporters, who had been baiting each other on the Internet for several weeks, Bedfordshire Police carried out its biggest football crowd control operation for 15 years.

More than 180 officers were on duty at the sell-out Third Division game, including 18 Metropolitan police on horseback and eight dog handlers.

But trouble broke out at three pubs before the game and coins were thrown inside the ground after the Hatters first goal in the 2-0 victory.

A 24-year-old Plymouth man suffered a collapsed lung when he was stabbed in Bury Park half-an-hour after the final whistle.

He was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital where his condition on Monday was "stable".

Plymouth took 2 firms to luton. One numbering 200 and the other 50, Luton had 150ish.

Few MiG youth got slapped, Two luton pubs the Bridge Tavern got smased. We got marched to the ground by met riot police.

Inside ground little off with OB in the corner.

After the game Luton do a mini-bus!
Argyle do some lads at esso....

Plymouth lad stabbed..and half killed by some cunt!!
That lead to big off..15 Plymouth nicked!

Luton OB said we had the biggest firm in Luton apart from Millwall. Luton "the place" fucking shit hole, full of bin lardens.

Plymouth had very good numbers the best for 10 years...Luton in my book should have fronted us, when we were walking to the ground!! 8pm back to london on the piss for the night.....End of story.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another view

I arrived at Luton Train Station from Bedford at about 12:30, to see a few lads obviously Plymouth boys. Also in the station where OB stopping all lads trying to cross the bridges at the station. Walk down the steps and out the station to be confronted with 15 - 20 Ob horses, loads of them Robocops and a bill with his camera! Walked up to first bill and said 'Im Luton mate, can i get into town' to which his reply was 'are you Plymouth!!!!!!!!' thick cunt! while speaking to this twat the cameraman came so close to my face with that camera of his i felt like sticking it up the cunts arse. Luton were mobbing up in the Melsons while Plymouth were herded by ob down to the bridge tavern - Plymouth numbering about 200 although im sure some of those were Wolves with Luton getting together 250 - 300. A great turnout from both sets of lads, the best numbering firm to come to Luton in a long time and the best turnout of Luton since the last Twatford away game. OB keep Plymouth in the Bridge Tavern while Luton move into the Whitehouse down the road. Head down to the Nelsons Flagship and meet a couple of Wrexham lads on the way who knew a few Luton, It was here that i first saw the chopper flying about! 50 odd MIGS attack a minibus of Plymouth lads on dunstable road after the plymouth lads inside gave it the big one, but they soon shut up when Luton lads were jumping through the windows to hit the cunts. word comes through from Plymouth that theyre being escorted to the ground but too many ob about so head up to the ground after being threatened with arrest because my burb scarf was covering my mouth!! Nothing major happened in the ground other than the usual banter until the Luton penalty in the 80th minute, Plymouth lads attacked the ob but were forced back. After the game head back to the Nelsons and theres a few Luton in there but most headed up to The Well. Plymouth taken straight to the train station but on the way 1 Plymouth lad was stabbed - by an asian bury park resident. the lad is in serious condition with life threatning injuries. This led to Plymouth lads going mad and 15 odd were arrested for violent disorder. Plymouth then depart on train to London with no further incidents. At the end of the day it was a good match and atmosphere with good turnouts from both sets of lads, but once again ob won the day - we all thought they would. Plymouth have gained massive respect from me after this showing, im sure the feelings mutual between both firms. A new rivalry has started and with both clubs almost certainly going up im sure the hostilities will continue next season! On a final note id like to wish the stabbed lad all the best in his recovery.

About 20 fans from both clubs fought at the train station. Later, a man was injured after clashes between rival hooligans outside the Talbot Inn in Chester. The pub’s windows were smashed and one man, who was not involved in the incident, was injured by flying debris.
