England : 11 arrested after Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City fans clash - 17/05/2017
Source: http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/
Police have arrested 11 people after Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City fans were involved in violent clashes last month. On Good Friday, April 14, Plymouth Argyle played an away fixture at Portsmouth, while Exeter City played at home to Barnet. Police say that during the evening, fans from both clubs were involved in an incident in Exeter, involving "serious disorder". As a result of inquiries made since this incident, a pre-planned operation was instigated and carried out on Wednesday, May 10, which involved police officers in both Exeter and Plymouth, who attended various addresses in both cities.
In total 11 people were arrested. Seven of which have been bailed, four were released under investigation and one who later attended on a voluntary basis was reported. Football and Sporting Sergeant Vicky Howell, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: "Football violence will not be tolerated. "Devon and Cornwall Police will continue to work in partnership with football clubs around football related offences to ensure sporting stadia is safe and can be enjoyed as a family community event. "Our work will continue around safeguarding and we will take a robust approach to disorder through the criminal justice system in the application of Football banning Orders to support this vision."
A spokesman for Exeter City Football Club said: "Exeter City prides itself as a community club and these people are not true fans of Exeter City FC. "We work hard with Devon and Cornwall Police to ensure that safety of our true fans at St James Park is paramount at all times and this is reflected in the experience that match days bring at St James Park. "Whilst we will always enjoy the rivalry on the pitch we have positive working relationships with Plymouth Argyle off the pitch and will continue to work with both them and Devon and Cornwall Police to remove such elements that purport to be fans of Exeter City." Sergeant Howell continued: "In partnership with Exeter City Football Club [ECFC), we are currently planning the league two play-off return leg fixture where ECFC will play Carlisle on Thursday, May 18, at St James Park. "Please do not risk a criminal record and a potential football banning order by committing offences. "We wish for the communities of Devon and Cornwall and visiting fans to enjoy the game and the wonderful event that has been brought to the city of Exeter."

Bradford City - Millwall FC - Play-off - 20/05/2017

Millwall pitch invasion at Wembley play-off final to be investigated by Scotland Yard
Scotland Yard and Wembley Stadium have launched investigations into the pitch invasion that marred Millwall’s League One play-off victory over Bradford City as matchwinner Steve Morison said those who “ruined” the occasion “should hang their heads in shame”. Morison’s late winner prompted hundreds of Millwall fans to stream onto the pitch, with some supporters making their way into the Bradford half to gloat in front of the defeated coaches and players. Wembley said it will work with the authorities to identify offenders and will “undergo a thorough debrief with our security team to help avoid repeat incidents”.
Morison, who scored the goal that took Millwall back into the Championship after two years in the third tier, said: “I have never been so high and so low in such a short period of time. I don’t want the headlines to be about them, it should be about us. “And those people who have ruined it for everyone else should hang their heads in shame.”
Millwall manager Neil Harris apologised to Bradford’s Stuart McCall and his players, adding that “it is not quite the right place” for an invasion of the pitch. “I wanted to get them off because I wanted to see my players enjoy the moment,” he said. “I wanted my players to embrace the stadium and take it all in.” But winger Aiden O’Brien refused to condemn the invading supporters, saying the fans had “the right” to storm the pitch. “No, they have the right to do that you know,” the 23-year-old said. “They have been supporting us all through the season. They should celebrate as much as we celebrate.
“It’s a team thing and they are part of the team. They can run on the pitch in my eyes for all they want, they deserve to.”

The rival fans clashed in ugly scenes outside the national stadium, with traffic cones and street signs used as weapons
But as well as the pitch invasion by Lions’ supporters at the final whistle, this footage will leave a sour taste in the mouths as two large groups of fans clash.
The clip, that has been circulated on social media, shows rival groups using traffic signs and cones as weapons as things rapidly got out of hand. A number of men trade blows, with some ending up on the floor. Two police horses were on the scene but appeared powerless to stop the violence.
There had also been unsavoury scenes inside the stadium Millwall fans stormed the pitch in celebration 10 minutes after Steve Morison's winning goal. The match winner was far from impressed as he watched on from the sidelines, telling Sky Sports: “The fans have ruined it for me at the moment. “I can’t celebrate. [But] it’s fantastic to be back in the Championship. We’ll have a good crack.” Morison wasn’t the only person unimpressed, with Millwall boss Neil Harris looking furious as he angrily urged fans to clear off the pitch.

Four fans killed in stampede at game in Honduras - 28/05/2017
Source: http://www.bb.com/
At least four people are believed to have died and many others been injured in a stampede at a game in Honduras.
The incident occurred at a sold-out match between Motagua and Honduras Progreso in the Honduran capital. News agency Associated Press reports that a police statement claimed too many tickets had been sold. Motagua denied too many tickets were sold and said they warned "responsible authorities immediately that fake tickets were being circulated".
They said the fake tickets "enabled people to enter the stadium illegally to watch the final between Motagua and El Progreso - people who apparently occupied seats that were not theirs, forcing others to leave the area". The game went ahead, with Motagua winning the title play-off match, held at the 35,000-capacity national stadium in Tegucigalpa, 3-0 on the day and 7-1 on aggregate.
In a statement, Motagua expressed "its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the four people who sadly died in the accident at the start of the final" and wished "a speedy recovery to those injured".
However, they added: "It is important to bear in mind that all the ticket sales are supervised, and in this case approved, by the national commission for sports facilities (Conapid), which is an agency of the Honduras government. "The club is helping in the investigation into what happened at the stadium, which was under police control - according to the rules - as always 48 hours before any sports event."
