Rangers fans escorted to Parkhead by police while Celtic supporters turn Glasgow green and white with flares
The cops outnumbered the Gers fans and were sure to keep them well away from their arch-rivals on the walk to Celtic Park.
The supporters were held near the stadium on Springfield Road to stop any ugly clashes before the Scottish Premier League match.
The fans were eventually allowed through and into the stadium for kick-off.
Police have been on duty all day and in huge numbers to prevent any violence between the Old Firm rivals.
Glasgow was turned green and white earlier in the day amidst a huge cloud of smoke.
Celtic supporters let off flares as they marched on mass along the city’s London Road en route to Parkhead for the showdown.

Tottenham clash with Millwall has heavy police presence as fan violence breaks out at FA Cup quarter-final clash
Police vans were parked up all over north London with hundreds of officers patrolling the streets around the stadium.
Cops were pictured in riot gear as tempers inevitable rose between fans shortly before the 2pm kick-off.
Multiple supporters were seen being wrestled to the ground and arrested by police after violent clashes.
Flares were also set off in surrounding area as fans filtered into the ground.
But there were no reports of any major incidents.
Tottenham took the extra measure of removing club branded signs from the away end.
That was after Arsenal fans last season tore down signs in the away end after being held in by police following the game.
And authorities were taking no chances with hundreds of stewards on duty to segregate fans in the stands.
Stewards were also issued with neon-orange hard hats as precaution in case of any violent clashes during the game.

England : Police officer 'handcuffed by fans' at Millwall clash with Tottenham - 14/03/2017
Source : http://www.dailystar.co.uk/
A PICTURE of a cop who appears to be handcuffed to a railing during the FA Cup clash between Millwall and Tottenham Hotspur has gone viral.
The image appeared online after the match, with people claiming that it shows a Metropolitan Police officer handcuffed to a garden railing.
One Twitter user uploaded the image with the caption: "A Millwall fan managed to handcuff a Policeman to a gate close to WHL today…" [sic]
The photo has been shared widely on social media with many finding the situation the cop reportedly found himself in hilarious.
"He's never going to hear the end of that down the station," Stuart Brookes commented.
Another said: "Best thing iv seen all year" [sic].
Craig Gough added: "That's brilliant that is. Hat off to Millwall lad that managed that."
But Gary Smith seemed less convinced, saying: "Will people bloody realise that the copper isn't handcuffed to the gate whatsoever! You can clearly see that isn't the case". [sic]
The validity of the photograph has not been verified and Daily Star Online has contacted Metropolitan Police for comment.
Violence erupted at White Hart Lane just before the match with police attempting to control fans as they spilled into the stadium.
After the match a video was circulated online reportedly showing what appears to be a Millwall fan thumping a Tottenham Hotspur fan to the floor.

England : 'We f***ing hate Millwall' Bloke PUNCHED after FA Cup clash with Tottenham - 13/03/2017
Source : http://www.dailystar.co.uk/
THIS is the moment a furious man punched a boasting bloke to the floor after Millwall and Tottenham clashed for the FA Cup quarter-final.
Footage uploaded online shows a Tottenham Hotspurt supporter shouting loudly "we f**king hate Millwall" outside White Hart Lane moments after they were thrashed 6-0.
A man, dressed in black and believed to be a Millwall fan, approaches the Spurs fan surrounded by a group of men.
He knocks the supporter down with one punch to the face.
Other fans helped the decked bloke up as he struggles back to his feet.
A video of the sickening attack has been uploaded and shared online on the Twitter account @_ManLikeMesut.
The footage has been titled “Millwall fan punches Spurs fan”.
Metropolitan Police said they were aware of the video, but the victim had not come to the police to ask for help and declined ambulance treatment.
A spokesperson said: "The Met is aware of the video circulating on social media, and the video has also been reported to police.
"No victim made themselves known to officers policing the football match, and police are aware a man, believed to be the one in the video, declined assistance from London Ambulance Service.
"At this time there has been no substantiated allegation made to police, should the victim do so it would be dealt with as appropriate."
Violent clashes erupted at the start of the match as fans filed into the stadium.
Police were forced to use riot control vans and horses to break up the chaos outside the stadium.

Horrifying Brazilian soccer brawl breaks out involving players, fans and military police
A Campeonato Brasiliense league match between Brazilian clubs Gama and Brasiliense turned violent on Sunday in one of the crazier soccer brawls we’ll see. A collision near the benches sparked a brawl between the clubs that included punches and plenty of flying kicks. Military police quickly intervened, but by that time, spectators got involved in a brawl that had spilled onto the pitch.
At that point, the military police fired off gas canisters to disperse the crowd. According to globo.com, one military police officer was injured, but somehow, nobody was arrested. The match was suspended in the 40th minute with the teams tied 1-1.

Brief outbreak of violence in High Street ahead of Champions League match
Bottles and glasses were thrown during a brief outbreak of violence in High Street ahead of tonight's match.
Police moved in quickly to quell the violence. There was some smashed glass visible at the scene.
The disorder began at the top end of High Street as police prepared to escort Sevilla fans to the King Power Stadium.
Pete Thornton, 48, of Clarendon Park, said officers kept City and Sevilla fans separate.
He said he was in the Queen of Bradgate when a Sevilla fan walked in injured.
He said: "There was a scuffle with Spanish fans. Someone got hit on the head with a bottle and he came into the Queen of Bradgate.
"Police came in too. The man was fine."
Mr Thornton said after that police were keeping fans separate in High Street.
"It had all been fine until then," he said.
"It was all bubbling up – it's just one of these things when there is a lot of excitement."
He added he and his friends had been chatting with Spanish fans today and they were very friendly.
Another witness said: "There were a few bottles or glasses thrown at the top end of High Street, but the police moved in very quickly.
"It was just after 5.30pm when the police were getting ready to take the Spanish fans to the ground.
"It was all over very quickly and the vast majority of people here for the match were fine and in good spirits."

Eight arrested following clashes between Leicester City and Sevilla fans
Eight people were arrested in connection with trouble associated with Leicester City's Champions League match against Sevilla FC. The arrests were made during a police operation as part of Tuesday's Uefa Champions League clash. A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said: "A total of eight people were arrested during the police operation. "Six of the arrests were made prior to the match, and another two at the stadium during the game itself."
A 29-year-old man is due to appear before Leicester magistrates after being charged with public order offences in relation to the trouble. The Leicestershire force would not divulge any further details of the incidents relating to the arrests, or those involved. Reports in Spain, however, point to a confrontation between rival supporters in High Street, close to the Jubilee Square Fanzone, about two hours before the match, as the main flashpoint.
National Spanish daily, El Pais, reported that seven Sevilla fans were arrested in Leicester on Tuesday following a clash with local "hooligans" backed by "Polish ultras". It quoted police sources in Spain and England as saying that a group of ultras (football hooligans) belonging to a radical faction of Sevilla fans known as the Biris clashed in High Street, at around 5.45pm. Five of the Spanish group, according to El Pais, were freed thanks to the intervention of Spanish police, with a two further men remaining in police custody in England. It is believed many of those arrested had travelled to Leicester from Spain without tickets to the game.
The Spanish newspaper reported that one Sevilla hooligan was treated in hospital for injuries sustained during the trouble but was now "out of danger". It said that several hooligans from Leicester, and at least one Polish national, were also arrested, but police would not specify how many. The arrests marred an otherwise momentous evening for City, who secured a stunning 2-0 victory against the La Liga giants – earning them a 3-2 aggregate win over two legs to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.
