During the game, police took place in front of Ascoli ultras stand as thirty of them took place in the gates and police feared a pitch invasion.

Four arrested after disorder between Blackpool and Walsall football fans  

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of affray after violence flared between rival football fans.

West Midlands Police launched an investigation after Blackpool and Walsall supporters were involved in disorder in Walsall town centre before their match on 23 January.

Two Willenhall men, aged 16 and 17, a 17-year-old from Brownhills and a 20-year-old from the Beechdale area of Walsall were apprehended on 5 February.

All four have been released on bail.

PC Stuart Spencer, from West Midlands Police, said officers were still investigating the incidents before the match and appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

After this derby game, close to the Berchem game, Beerschot supporters have assaulted one Antwerp fan who weared a scarf of Antwerp FC.

Paul De Herdt, 38 years old, was thrown from the top of a staircase then beat up. He is seriously injured. The police opened an inquiry.
