France : Bordeaux fans banned from attending match in Nantes - 18/01/2016

Source : http://www.espnfc.com/

Bordeaux fans have been banned from attending this weekend's French league game at Nantes because of the risk of violence between hooligans.

The top government official in Nantes issued the stadium ban because of the "important risks" surrounding the match scheduled for Saturday at the Stade de La Beaujoire.

In a statement, prefect Henri-Michel Comet also cites the "terror threat" that is mobilizing security forces across France following deadly attacks in Paris last November and does not allow police agents to be put off from their "primary mission."

In March 2014, police forces intervened in downtown Nantes to prevent Nantes and Bordeaux supporters from fighting, just months before violence erupted between fans from both teams at another game between the rivals.

England : Young Birmingham City hooligans banned from pub by licencing bosses - 25/01/2016

Source : http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/

Bainsy’s Bar repeatedly warned about serving alcohol to under-age 'risk supporters'

Licensing bosses have banned under 18s from a pub near Birmingham City Football Club after known under-age hooligans were repeatedly caught drinking booze.

The owners of Bainsy’s Bar, which is in Lower Dartmouth Street, were warned by police about serving alcohol to under age “risk supporters” who did not even attend some of the Blues matches.

Now licensing bosses have removed the premises licence holder and have banned under 18s from the bar for two hours before kick off and two hours after the match, unless they are with an adult.

Police presented a dossier of evidence and described Bainsy’s Bar as “a known meeting point for younger Birmingham City risk fans.”

The force said specialist ‘spotter officers’ who are tasked with monitoring fans who have been linked to disorder in the past, had issued anti social behaviour notices to underage customers who were caught openly drinking alcohol.

Officers helped draw up an action plan for the premises after reports were submitted following the Derby County match last August.

However, further underage drinking was discovered in the September matches against Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.

And despite the introduction of door staff a further three underage drinkers were found in the beer garden during the game against Wolves on October 31.

A statement, submitted by Superintendent Andy Beard, on behalf of West Midlands Police, said: “West Midlands Police have repeatedly identified issues at the location and we have tried to work with the premises to resolve them.

“West Midlands Police have tried informal measures and have then escalated that engagement level to an action plan and then a variation. We have exhausted our options.

“The premises licence holder still does not have control over the premises and is not promoting the licensing objectives.

“This venue continues to impact on police resources on a match day and continues to attract under age football fans.”

In explaining its decision in writing, Licensing Sub Committee A said: “The licensing sub committee think that a new designated premises supervisor will help ensure than nobody under the age of 18 consumes alcohol on the premises, which has evidently been a problem when adults have purchased alcohol and provided it to under 18s

“This was an issue that cause the sub committee grave concerns.

“The sub-committee noted the comments regarding the acceptability of younger children attending the premises with their families and the use of the beer garden being acceptable provided the premises are managed properly.”

Sweden : Revenge mob rampage through Swedish station beating up refugee - 30/01/2016

Source : http://www.thesun.co.uk

A MASKED mob rampaged through Stockholm’s main train station last night beating up anyone who didn’t look ethnically Swedish.

The black clad rabble, believed to be linked to Sweden’s football hooligan scene, had been handing out racist leaflets with the message “Enough now”.

They masked men reportedly targetted foreigners

The thugs were reportedly targeting migrant unaccompanied minors as revenge for the killing of asylum centre worker Alexandra Mezher.

Stockholm police spokesman Towe Hagg said the mob had “gathered with the purpose of attacking refugee children”.

He added: “Police are now looking into the leaflets that were handed out by masked people before the attack.”

Cops confirmed between 40 and 50 people went on a rampage last night attacking foreigners.

Manchester City fans 'attack Everton supporter' in shocking footage from League Cup semi final

This is the shocking moment an Everton fan appears to be attacked by Man City supporters at the Etihad Stadium during Wednesday's League Cup semi final.

The video emerged following a match which saw conflict between both sets of fans and the police.

It shows the reported Blues fan trying to leave his seat but getting punched.

The victim, who just gestures passively, gets battered by different fans who appear to be queuing up to punch him.

As the man is punched and kicked fans can be heard cheering at the violence.

A steward approaches at one point to intervene, but then walks off, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Greater Manchester Police are examining footage of the attack in conjunction with the club to try and identify any victims or offenders.

Trouble also flared outside the stadium on Wednesday night and there were reports of missiles being hurled.

A video shows police and Everton and Man City fans exchanging blows after chaos broke out following the Capital One Cup match.

The atmosphere on the video is tense and at some points police appear to be using their batons on fans as they try to break through the cordon.

The ECHO was told of several incidents where Everton fans were injured following the disruption or where Man City fans were abusive towards Evertonians sitting in their side.

Lee Monaghan, 36, a printer from Netherley, travelled to the match with five friends after buying tickets for £65 each in what they were told was a neutral zone but then, after having bottles thrown and abuse shouted at them, were escorted out by police.

He claims police implied they were being moved to the Everton section, but they were then told to leave after watching only 30 minutes of the match.

Describing the atmosphere at the beginning of the game as ‘unfriendly’ he expressed his disappointment at not being able to watch the match.

Two people were arrested during the stand-off and four other fans were arrested during the course of the day.

Chief Superintendent Chris Sykes, Match Commander for the Manchester City vs Everton League Cup semi-final, said: “There was some disorder outside the ground following the conclusion of the Manchester City v Everton match last night. Officers policing the game reacted quickly to calm situation and the crowds dispersed.

“However I would like to say that the majority of supporters were well behaved in a good spirited manner throughout what turned out to be a very entertaining game.

“If anybody received any injuries during the disorder then please report them to Greater Manchester Police and we will investigate.”

Manchester City have been approached for a comment.

Heart of Midlothian - Motherwell FC - 16/01/2016

Source : http://news.stv.tv/

Three arrested after reports of mass brawl outside football stadium

Police were called to McLeod Street in Edinburgh following reports of fighting between up to 20 rival supporters before the Hearts v Motherwell match on Saturday January 16.

On Friday police traced and arrested two teenagers aged 16 and a 53-year-old man from the Baberton, Newhaven and Gorgie areas of the city.

They are expected to appear in court at a later date and despite their release have also been ordered not to attend any forthcoming football matches as part of their release bail conditions.

The arrests were made as part of the ongoing Operation Rebound.

Inspector Emma Croft said: "As part of our ongoing commitment to tackle fan disorder Police Scotland has been working closely with Hearts FC to identify and address a group of individuals who bring disorder and criminality to the doors of what is a family friendly club.

"These arrests clearly send out the message that such behaviour will not be tolerated and we will work tirelessly to trace those involved in such criminality.

“All three males are now unable to attend a football match for the foreseeable future, which is particularly relevant given next weekend’s Edinburgh derby.

"Operation Rebound will continue and we will work alongside Hearts FC to ensure those responsible for fan disorder are held to account."

Hearts' chairwoman Ann Budge has already publicly condemned the fans involved, citing damage to the club's reputation and increased policing costs of up to £50,000 as a burden the club could do without.

She said: "I cannot begin to tell you how angry this makes me, when we are working so hard to put the club back at the heart of the community.

"Instead of talking proudly about the team’s superb performance...I am instead having to hold meetings with the authorities regarding how we are going to address this behaviour problem."

Since the arrests, a spokesman from Hearts said: "We have a very good and close working relationship with Police Scotland and will continue to do our best with them to eradicate the type of behaviour which is unacceptable to the majority of Hearts supporters."

DOZENS of police officers were in Derby city centre last night before the Rams match as an incident unfolded.

Inside the Neo-Nazi 'firm': Swedish football hooligans tell how they teamed up to launch vicious attack on Stockholm migrants - 31/01/2016

Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

A Swedish football hooligan has revealed how gangs including a 'Neo-Nazi firm' joined together to launch Friday's vicious attack on migrants.

Up to 50 black-clad masked men stormed Stockholm's main train station around 9pm and targeted unaccompanied children who did not look ethnically 'Swedish'.

They handed out leaflets with the slogan 'enough now' emblazoned across them and incited people to attack the migrants before beating several 'foreign' people and fleeing.

A member of one of the city's football 'firms' has now admitted to MailOnline that his group, DFG, was responsible for the attack.

He revealed a handful of men from the club teamed up with others from their usual rivals AIK, as well as being joined by several Polish hooligans.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, he said: 'This is something that we have talked about for a long time.

'We feel the police are not doing their job. Our wives, girlfriends and daughters cannot feel safe in the centre parts of Stockholm during the night.

'We feel that this is shameful for a country like Sweden and wanted to make a statement that it is not OK.'

Members from DFG - or Djurgårdens IF - and AIK are typically rivals and have only joined together once before, the man, who was not part of the attacks, also revealed.

They usually clash with each other in relation to sporting events and last fought each other in a bloody six-minute battle following a hockey game just 17 days before Friday's attacks.

The man added: 'The only time that we have seen something like this [Friday night] was in the Euros in 1992, when they [the firms] teamed up to fight English hooligans under the banner "defend Stockholm".'

Friday night's surprise attacks shocked station workers and migrants who had congregated at the station for the evening.

Witnesses reported seeing groups of up to 50 men storming through the station as groups of youths attempted to hide.

Johanna Brixander, who supervises volunteers working to try and prevent crime at the station, said she saw children screaming as they ran down the escalators in a desperate bid to get away from the men.

She said: 'A few seconds later a group of masked men came running towards us. They were screaming chants I have never heard before in Swedish.

'People got beaten really bad before our own eyes. Big groups of youths tried to hide everywhere. It was very chaotic and I was really afraid when it happened.

'Most of the kids who got beaten were just ordinary people born and raised in Sweden,' she added. 'Their hair colour just happened to not be blonde.'

Assam, who was born in Sweden, was pushed to the ground by a masked man but did not get injured. He said the men did not care whether they were attacking boys or girls - their only focus was colour.

'I did [not] really understand what was happening until I was laying on the ground,' Assam said. 'It was totally insane.

'My friend's girlfriend was badly beaten, they kicked her while she was laying on the ground.

'[It] did not make a difference if they were beating girls or boys. Everyone who had dark hair or skin was their targets.'

One gang member was arrested for punching an officer in the face and several others were detained for public order offences - but the majority of the group managed to escape.

Police are currently battling to control the 'firms' with officers claiming the rivalry often affects the entire Swedish capital.

Video footage shows the groups mauling each other in the street as police attempt to contain them ahead of one match.

Previous reports also suggest an entire restaurant in Stockholm was destroyed when one of the 'firms' held a Christmas party.

Around 50 men who attended the event started a fight using the restaurant's furniture and glassware before throwing stones at officers when they arrived to calm the situation down.

Fredrik Gårdare, director of the country's special action force against the firms, previously told Aftonbladet: 'If we look at recruitment and those who join these gangs they are all quite young.

'It is, of course, some who are interested in football, but we also see those who are not.'

He added to MailOnline: 'It has become somewhat fashionable for the established criminal environment to look towards [the firms] and examine whether the grass is greener inside [them].

'[The firms have] the same kind of standards and regulations as criminal gangs.

'It is essentially the same quest for communion with family, friends and then to do things together - partying, fighting and... various crimes - that makes them feel like they are in a brotherhood.'

The attacks, however, do not appear to have put everyone off from going out in Stockholm.

Assam said he was not scared enough by Friday's attacks to stop meeting his friends at the station.

'I was born here, why should I feel unsafe when I am meeting my friends to go to a bar or a cinema in the centre parts of Stockholm,' he said.
