After the game, troubles opposed supporters to police forces. 253 supporters from both teams were arrested. Police avoided any contact between both sides but they were attacked by Magdeburg hooligans with bottles, rocks and firecrackers. One helicopter and dog handlers were also used. Already in the stadium 150 away fans caused troubles.

Belarusian football fans arrested in Florence allowed to leave Italy
The Belarusian football fans arrested in Florence were allowed to leave the territory of Italy, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
In accordance with the updated information, 14 Belarusian citizens were arrested and brought before court, and 47 were detained for identification.
The court session in the Palace of Justice in Florence was attended by a representative of the Belarusian Embassy. The court upheld the legality of the arrest but released the fans as they pose no risk to the society.
However, as the prosecution insisted on the evidence of wrongdoing a new trial was scheduled for 15 June 2015. The citizens may attend the court hearing in person or send a lawyer to represent their interests.
The remaining 47 detainees would be punished by the five-year ban on visiting the games in Italy. According to experts, this means a ban on entry to the Schengen countries in the next few years.
As was reported earlier, the Italian police arrested a group of 61 football fans from Belarus ahead of FC Dinamo Minsk's Europa League match against Fiorentina in Florence on 11 December. According to the police, they arrested the fans over their offensive behavior and violence including against law enforcement officers. It was reported that some of the fans carried truncheons on them.

Dundee United - Aberdeen - 13/12/2014

“Like a pack of wolves” — trouble flares ahead of Dundee United v Aberdeen game
There were more than a dozen arrests as trouble flared ahead of Dundee United’s Tannadice clash with Aberdeen on Saturday.
Police were called to the Ambassador pub on Clepington Road after trouble flared shortly after 12.30pm and dozens of fans were involved in scuffles before the pub was cleared of football fans, one of them even holding up a sink which had apparently been ripped off the toilet wall.
Staff said the pub had to be closed for four hours until it was deemed safe to reopen.
One man was arrested at the scene and the crowd was dispersed by police.
Mounted police officers also had to gallop up North Isla Street from Tannadice to deal with a group of around 30 “casuals” who had descended on the Snug Bar in Main Street.
The mounted officers were joined by a large number of other officers in cars and with dogs, and they quickly calmed the situation down.
One woman who witnessed the incident at the Ambassador said it was the worst scenes she had ever seen in the 20 or so years she has been going to Tannadice.
“I’ve been going to all the big games against Celtic and Rangers but I’ve never seen anything like it,” she said.
“They were like a pack of wolves...if it wasn’t for the police I dread to think what would have happened.”
A police spokesperson confirmed there were several “skirmishes” in the streets around Tannadice but added there was “nothing major” and the incidents had been quickly dealt with by police.
He confirmed the Ambassador was closed to football fans and said there was one male arrested at the scene.
In addition, the spokesperson confirmed, there were 13 other arrests, all drink-related, 12 of them outside the ground.

Turkish court tries football fans over alleged anti-Erdogan coup plan - 16/12/2014
Source : http://english.al-akhbar.com/
Thirty-five supporters of Turkish football team Besiktas went on trial on Tuesday in a hugely controversial case on charges of seeking to overthrow the authorities led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2013 protests.
Hundreds of Besiktas supporters surrounded the Istanbul criminal court as the trial opened, shouting football chants backing the accused who are all members of the club's main fan club, the Carsi Group.
Prosecutors have accused all 35 suspects of seeking to stage a coup to overthrow the government of Erdogan, who was then prime minister, during the unprecedented 2013 protests against his rule.
However rights groups have ridiculed the charges as absurdly flimsy and based on tendentious evidence, such as intercepted telephone calls and text messages merely criticizing the government.
"Charging these Besiktas football club fans as enemies of the state for joining a public protest is a ludicrous travesty," said Emma Sinclair-Webb, senior Turkey researcher at Human Rights Watch (HRW). "The indictment contains no evidence to support the coup attempt charges and should never have come to court."
The oldest football club in Turkey, founded in 1903, Besiktas is still one of the top teams and plays in the Super Lig top division.
The Carsi fan group is known for its strong support of the secularist principles laid down by modern Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, as well as an adherence to hard left-wing politics.
The T-shirts of the Carsi – pronounced Charshi and meaning marketplace in Turkish – are adorned with the circular anarchist symbol.
Prosecutors have demanded life sentences for the accused, who are all currently not under arrest.
The indictment says the Carsi members also tried to create an image similar to the "Arab Spring" uprisings of 2011 by providing the foreign media with images of clashes.
The protests began in May 2013 in Istanbul over plans to redevelop Gezi Park on Taksim Square in the center of the city.
But they then snowballed into a nationwide wave of anger against the Islamic-rooted rule of Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party (AKP). At least eight protesters were killed and 8,000 injured in a bloody police crackdown on the protests.
Several trials related to the protests are already taking place across the country, as well as a handful of cases of police accused of killing protesters.
Erdogan’s government has also cracked down on former ally Fethullah Gulen, a US-based cleric, with whom Erdogan has been in open conflict since a corruption investigation targeting Erdogan's inner circle emerged a year ago.
Erdogan accuses Gulen of establishing a "parallel structure" within the state through his supporters in the judiciary, police and other state institutions, as well as wielding influence through the media.
The cleric denies the accusation of seeking to overthrow Erdogan's government.
Opponents accuse the Turkish president of behaving like a modern-day sultan, his Islamist ideology and intolerance of dissent taking Turkey far from Ataturk's secular ideals.
In his latest anti-Ataturk drive, Erdogan announced last week plans to make lessons in Ottoman Turkish mandatory in high schools, drawing severe criticism.
In October, Erdogan unveiled a new presidential palace – built at a cost reportedly ranging between $350 million and $650 million – on the outskirts of Ankara, a move seen by many as a vivid symbol of what Erdogan touts as his drive towards a "new Turkey."
In March, Erdogan defied a court order halting the palace construction after it has been built on land where Ataturk created a forest farm that was then donated to the state.

Malaysia: Cops arrest nine alleged football hooligans, six others still sought - 12/12/2014
Source : http://www.thestar.com.my
After almost a week-long search, police have arrested nine of the 15 people who allegedly attacked Vietnamese football fans during the AFF Suzuki Cup first leg semi-final at the Shah Alam Stadium last week.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the nine, aged between 19 and 29, were picked up in a sweep across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
The men were hauled into the Shah Alam Magistrates Court here, where they will be remanded until Dec 15 to assist investigations.
"Five were picked up in Johor, two from Kuala Lumpur and two from Selangor. We have identified them as individuals involved in the fracas and will extend their remand further if needed.
"We are still looking for the remaining six individuals that were also involved in the Sunday incident. We urge them to make things easier for everyone and come forward," SAC Mohd Adnan said.
The men who were arrested are being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.
It was earlier reported that five people had earlier surrendered to the police on Tuesday after authorities issued photographs of 11 people to help in investigations over the fracas.
The five were released after they were questioned by police.
The police also announced they were searching for another four people, bringing the number to 15.

Newcastle United - Sunderland AFC - 21/12/2014
Source : http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/
Mounted police have started to arrive outside St James’ Park as fans prepare for the Tyne Wear derby in Newcastle.
It is hoped the day will be marked by a spirit of togetherness between Sunderland and Newcastle fans, after pleas from fans groups, the police, and the father of one of the victims of the MH17 tragedy.
Northumbria Police said more officers than ever before would be on duty during the day - and that for the first time in years Sunderland fans were being encouraged to make their own way to the stadium, travelling from whichever Metro station is most convenient and at whatever time they chose.
Chief Supt Steve Neill who is in charge of the operation said: “Everybody agrees that it’s time to try and move on from some of the ugly scenes that we’ve seen previously and have a more mature approach to how we police the derby and the plans reflect that.”
Northumbria Police tweeted: “Expected to be a busy and vibrant day in #Newcastle today. Enjoy but remember to #staysafe and #stayincontrol.”
Newcastle United fan Barry Sweeney, father of Newcastle United fan Liam Sweeney, who was killed on board the Malaysia Airlines flight on July 17, asked fans to ‘keep the passion but lose the poison’.
He said: “When the fixtures are released the first thing I do is check to see when Newcastle take on Sunderland.
There isn’t a day goes by when I don’t think about what happened to John and Liam, but knowing something positive has come out of their deaths helps.
“I hope their legacies can live on through both Newcastle and Sunderland supporters and I hope fans continue to show solidarity throughout today’s clash.”
The game kicks off at 1.30pm at St James’ Park.

'It went nuts': Newcastle and Sunderland fans clash before Tyne-Wear derby
Newcastle and Sunderland fans have clashed before the North East derby this afternoon.
One witnesses claimed "it went nuts" as visiting fans arrived at Newcastle's Central Station ahead of the 1.30pm kick off.
Northumbria Police said more officers than ever before would be on duty for the Tyne-Wear match.
But for the first time in several years, Sunderland fans were encouraged to make their own way to the stadium, travelling from whichever Metro station is most convenient and at whatever time they chose.
Northumbria Police said it was taking a new approach in an effort to avoid "ugly scenes" in previous derbies.
But reports on Twitter suggest the lack of an escort led to trouble with groups of Sunderland fans, known as Mackems, clashing with Newcastle fans near St James' Park.
One wrote on Twitter: "Well done to northumbria police for having no one outside the strawberry when 50+ mackems are trying to hit anyone in sight. Shocking."
Another Newcastle fan claimed a fellow supporter had been "done" while queuing for a burger.
Elsewhere, there were reports of a pub window being smashed.
Chief Supt Steve Neill who is in charge of the operation said before the match: "Everybody agrees that it’s time to try and move on from some of the ugly scenes that we’ve seen previously and have a more mature approach to how we police the derby and the plans reflect that."

Tyne-Wear Derby: New era as police praise Newcastle and Sunderland fans for peaceful fixture
A new era of respect between Newcastle and Sunderland fans dawned as the Tyne-Wear derby was dominated by an atmosphere of goodwill.
The usually tense and sometimes violent fixture passed without major incident, with just 17 people arrested.
Northumbria Police this season tried a new approach to policing the game.
Gone were the ‘rings of steel’ and marching of away supporters from the station to the stadium.
Instead match commander Chief Supt Steve Neill planned a new ‘more mature’ method to managing the supporters, which saw fans being allowed to make their own way up to St James’ Park, while a record number of officers were stationed all around the city, ready to close in should trouble start.
The gamble appears to have paid off with a much more peaceful atmosphere in the city centre than in previous years and just a handful of arrests, despite the disappointing result for Toon fans.
Chief Supt Neill said: “I want to thank the public for their patience and cooperation. It has been a very busy day but we are pleased that it has passed without any significant disruption or major incident. The vast majority of football fans were well behaved today and the Tyne-Wear derby was celebrated for the fantastic sporting event that it is.
“I’d like to praise supporters from both clubs - they worked well with officers on the ground, were extremely patient and good natured and treated the day in the best spirit.”
The match kicked-off at 1.30pm after thousands of fans made their way into the ground in front of the heaviest ever police presence at a Tyne-Wear derby.
There were some ugly scenes pre-match as rival fans confronted one another on Westgate Road outside the Milecastle pub.
Singing and taunting one another the supporters stopped traffic.
But mounted police quickly moved in to disperse the gangs and move them on.
Tensions then moved on to St James Boulevard where again police had to close in as large number of Black Cats fans made their way to stadium.
Officers lined the route and again moved quickly as disorder erupted.
And wherever there were pockets of tension officers were able to diffuse the disorder today.
One man could be seen being lead to a waiting police van in handcuffs before kick-off.

Venezuelan match halted as police clash with hooligans
The Primera Division de Venezuela clash between Petare and Trujillanos was suspended when violence broke out between police and a group of hooded hooligans outside the stadium.
With Trujillanos leading 2-0, police had to spring into action when a number of individuals outside the stadium started throwing objects, including rocks, onto the pitch. The police responded by using tear gas and rubber bullets.
The match was suspended and officials waited for about 45 minutes hoping that order could be restored, until the match was ultimately abandoned.
The hooligans have not been identified but many have pointed fingers towards supporters of Caracas FC, as a win for fierce rivals Trujillanos would have seen them clinch the league title.
However, Trujillanos' triumph was ultimately unavoidable, as the FA handed them a 3-0 win following the abandonment of the game.

Football-related violence claims another life in Argentina - 25/12/2014
Source : http://latino.foxnews.com
A man died early Thursday after being shot during a clash between rival groups of football fans in the Buenos Aires suburb of Lanus, Argentine police said.
Jose "Gallego" Fernandez was killed by a gunshot to the chest.
The shooting occurred when one faction of extremist fans of the Lanus club ambushed members of a rival group of "ultras," police sources told the official Telam news agency.
Police arrested the leader of one of the factions, Matias Soto, for possession of an unregistered handgun.
Soto's father was detained as the suspected shooter, Telam said.
Sport daily Ole offered a different account of the incident, identifying Fernandez as the head of the ultras associated with different club in greater Buenos Aires, Independiente.
In the Ole version, Fernandez was struck by a stray bullet as contending groups of Lanus ultras fought each other.
Violence among ultras has persisted in Argentine football despite the adoption of drastic measures such as barring visiting-club fans from matches.
Last month saw four people die in football-related violence in less than a week.

Bolton working with police as they review CCTV footage for Blackburn flare thrower
Blackburn could find themselves in hot water with the FA after a fan appeared to throw a flare which landed near a group of Bolton fans during the Boxing Day derby. Bolton released a statement on Saturday, saying: 'Bolton Wanderers and the police are aware of the incident in the South Stand and where a device was thrown at the window of a box. 'We will be reviewing CCTV footage and will be sharing the information with police.'
The flashpoint took place during the second half of Blackburn's 2-1 defeat at the Macron Stadium. A supporter appeared to throw a pyrotechnic which landed in a corporate box situated in the area of the ground which accommodated the visiting Bolton fans. Police and stewards were quickly on the scene and it had looked as if it may boil over. But order was quickly restored with smoke billowing from the corporate box.
