Russia : Police ban Moscow club’s 'Nazi' emblem - 07/11/2012
Source : http://rt.com
The classic emblem of Torpedo Moscow football club, which was designed 1930, has been suddenly outlawed by the city police. Scarves, flags and banners with the symbol were banned from sale or to be brought into the stadium during the club’s latest home match in the Football National League. According to the Torpedo fans, the police now believe that the gear symbol in the background of the club’s classical logo is similar to one used by the Nazis. “The representative of the Moscow police came up and said that Torpedo’s emblem resembles a Nazi symbol,” Vasily Petrakov, the head of the Torpedo Moscow fan-club, told Kommersant FM. “When we started laughing, we were told: "Yes, the same gear was on the logo of some party, some workforce in Nazi Germany, so we don’t allow you to use it." The fans are currently in consultations with Torpedo’s management trying to collect documentation on the logo. They hope that it’ll reappear in the stands at the team’s next home clash on November 19. “Clearly, Torpedo’s emblem has undergone changes since Soviet times,” Alisher Aminov, President of the Football Development Foundation, explained. “This increased attention by the police is caused by the recent fans’ misconduct at the Torpedo stadium, and nothing more.” Rioting Torpedo supporters saw September’s Russian Cup game against city rivals Dynamo abandoned and their team disqualified from the tournament.

Euro 2012: Hooligan pics published - 10/11/2012
Source : www.newpolandexpress.pl
Police have released the photos of the 10 men wanted in connection with the streets brawls that took place at the Poland - Russia match during Euro 2012.
According to Gazeta Wyborcza, over 200 people (including both Poles and Russians) were arrested at the match which took place at Warsaw’s National Stadium on June 12. Dozens have since been charged and have received punishments ranging from fines to prison sentences, however authorities are still trying to track down more offenders.
The paper states that the confrontations between the two sets of supporters took place before, during and after the game and TVN reports that several people were injured due to items such as bottles, flares and stones being thrown.
After being granted permission to publish the pictures by the prosecution, police spokesman Mariusz Mrozek stated that they were keen to identify the men.
“Enough evidence has been collected against these 10 males, which allows them to be charged with participating in illegal activities,” he said.
Authorities have asked anyone who might be able to provide any information to contact them on (22) 603 65 83 or (22) 603 65 41.

Millwall FC - Derby County - 11/11/2012
Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk
Millwall caught in fresh storm after six fans arrested over 'Sordell is a c***' banner
Millwall were caught in a fresh storm after a group of fans displayed a banner bearing the words 'Sordell is a c***' in protest at a 13-year-old supporter being banned for a racist Twitter attack on Marvin Sordell. The banner was quickly removed by ground staff during Saturday's Championship clash with Derby and six people were arrested by police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the arrests were made over alleged public order offences. 'Six males were arrested during the game at Millwall in relation to a banner being unfurled at the game,' he said. 'They remain in custody at this time.' The banner was unfurled in the home end on Saturday during Millwall's 2-1 victory over Derby at The Den. It was an apparent reference to an incident on October 6 when Bolton midfielder Marvin Sordell was verbally abused by a 13-year-old Millwall fan, who has subsequently been banned from attending matches by the club. The banner on display was swiftly removed by Millwall staff. The club refused to comment on the issue, and assistant manager Joe Gallen - standing in for Kenny Jackett, who missed the game with flu - also opted not to discuss the matter. It came a day after Sordell has contacted the police after allegedly suffering racial abuse on Twitter. It appears to be the third time the Bolton Wanderers star has been subjected to racial taunts this season and follows the banning of a 13-year-old Millwall fan for verbally abusing him during a match in October.
In the latest attack he was allegedly called a 'jungle ape' by Twitter user Steve Lawrence, who also reportedly criticised Mr Sordell for 'crying like a sissy' following the abuse he received from the Millwall fan. The young Millwall fan had been was banned by the club after he admitted abusing Mr Sordell during a match against Bolton Wanderers at the New Den on October 6. The club offered the boy a place on a 'Millwall for All' educational programme, instead of imposing a full life ban, 'in the hope that we can change his outlook on equality, racism and life in general'. Referring to the incident, Mr Lawrence tweeted 'jungle apes get more pathetic every week. Tattling (sic) on a 13-year-old - you really cannot set the bar any lower.' In response, Mr Sordell tweeted: 'racism and homophobia all in one tweet. Well done, does that make you feel important or big?' In another tweet Mr Lawrence said, 'blacks and whites: obviously not the same because whites do not cry like sissies and fairies when they are booed by pre-teens.' Sordell said he will pass the messages onto police, according to the Daily Star newspaper.

Police release pictures of Newbury brawl suspects - 10/11/2012
Source : http://www.racingpost.com
THAMES Valley Police have released CCTV images of eight men they want to question in connection with the mass brawl during a meeting at Newbury in the summer.
Officers were forced to deploy riot shields as between 50 and 60 Swansea and Cardiff City football fans fought running battles in front of families and racegoers at the track's summer festival on Saturday, July 14.
The violence erupted on the ground floor of the grandstand before spreading outside to the enclosures.
The fighting continued for around 15 minutes before the disorder was finally brought under control.
Following the incident, a video showing the brawl was uploaded on YouTube, and two men aged 26 and 33, both from Swansea, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing affray.
The two South Wales clubs are fierce rivals, and there have been suggestions the clash was organised in advance, but that Newbury only became the chosen battleground after waterlogging forced the abandonment of Chepstow's July 13 Ladies' Night meeting.
Supt Robin Rickard, local policing area commander for West Berkshire, said: "This was a nasty incident involving up to 60 people fighting in the middle of the afternoon and impacted on lots of innocent people and families who had planned to spend an enjoyable day at the races.
"We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and are determined to bring to justice all those responsible."
