Police probing football hooliganism which brought fear to a West Yorkshire town today released images of eight men they wish to trace.
It is believed that fans of Leeds United, Bradford City and Huddersfield Town were involved in the disorder in Huddersfield town centre.
Police suspect the trouble was orchestrated by people with mobile phones directing people in the fray.
During the disturbance, men chased each other through the railway station and along the tracks causing massive disruption to services and the public.
Frightened traders closed their premises and other people locked themselves in cars for fear of attack.
The riots took place on the afternoon of Saturday, May 19 this year when West Ham beat Blackpool 2 - 1 at Wembley in the widely televised Championship play-off final. It is believed game was viewed by many people in pubs and bars.
The main incident began on Westgate and Market Street in Huddersfield, before continuing into the railway station and spilling onto the tracks.
Men were seen chasing each other along the platforms and tracks towards Deighton, regardless of the risk to life.
The disorder resulted in 61 trains being delayed and seven services being cancelled completely.
A total of nearly 15 hours of train delays were caused by the behaviour, countless thousands of pounds in lost earnings were notched up.
During the height of the disorder several frightened shopkeepers locked themselves inside their premises.
One young man locked himself in a car as he awaited the return of his grandmother from shopping nearby.
Today’s CCTV images have been released by West Yorkshire CID and British Transport Police.
