Police arrest 3 Iraklis fans after pitch invasion - 15/11/2011
Greek police have arrested three Iraklis fans from about 300 who invaded the pitch to try to attack the match officials in the club's first home game since being demoted from the first division to the fourth for financial irregularities.
The supporters also fought with riot police after the game against Ayoneri on Sunday was abandoned.
The referee stopped the game in the eighth minute to order a banner attacking the head of Greece's football federation be removed, causing the fans to run onto the field and chase the referee and two linesmen.
Iraklis has played one away game this season, during which its fans scuffled with police outside the stadium.

Hansa Rostock fans shower pitch with bananas
The hate fueled and often violent northern derby between Hansa Rostock and St. Pauli was once again a spectacle for reasons unrelated to football. Prior to their 2. Bundesliga match on Saturday, fans threw enough bananas to feed a competitive eater, prompting a pre-match game of "put the bananas in the sack" played by club staff. Once the match actually started, things only got worse. Scarves were burned and the pyrotechnics came out when visiting St. Pauli scored first in the 40th minute. The Hansa fans fired rockets at the traveling supporters, causing the match to be halted for 13 minutes. When play resumed, St. Pauli went on to win 3-1, with the help of a little umbrella protection when they took corner kicks... The trouble actually began the night before, though. Masked men attacked Police headquarters in Rostock, setting off fireworks, throwing stones and breaking windows. They also tried to light a dumpster on fire. No one was hurt, but €5,000 worth of damage was done. Suspecting it was St. Pauli fans behind the attack, this might've been why the Hansa fans threw all those bananas. Or maybe they were just proving to Sepp Blatter that racism is still very much alive in football.

Legia Warsaw fined for 'Jihad' banner - 18/11/2011
Source : Reuters
Legia Warsaw have been fined 10,000 euros by UEFA after fans displayed a banner saying 'Jihad Legia' during a Europa League match at home to Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv on September 29, the Polish state news agency reported on Friday.
UEFA was not immediately available to comment. Poland has already been criticised by UEFA officials over hooliganism, which European soccer's governing body says is destroying the image of the country that is due to co-host the 2012 European Championship with Ukraine. In May this year hooligans clashed with police, damaged the stadium and attacked press photographers after Legia beat Lech Poznan 5-4 on penalties to win the Polish Cup final in the northwestern city of Bydgoszcz.

Seven arrested in Clarets’ Championship clash with Leeds
SEVEN football fans were arrested following Saturday’s ill-tempered Championship match between Burnley and Leeds United.
Police say the supporters, including one 16-year-old Burnley boy, were arrested for public order offences and drunk and disorderly around the game at Turf Moor.
The Clarets’ televised clash with Yorkshire rivals Leeds was marred when away fans ripped up around 35 wooden seats in the David Fishwick stand.
CCTV footage is being examined and police are also investigating reports that coins were thrown at Burnley fans during the game.
A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary said: “Seven arrests were made during the operations for various offences.
“There were reports Leeds fans were throwing coins and other items towards Burnley fans and there was damage to a number of seats”
A 16-year-old boy from Burnley has been charged with public order and released on bail to appear before Reedley Youth Court next Monday.
Luke Battensby (20) of Valley Road, Bramley, was charged with public order and has been bailed to appear before Burnley Magistrates on December 2nd.
Five other men were given police cautions.

Granada vs. Real Mallorca match suspended after match official wounded by a spectator
Rock bottom Granada welcomed Joaquin Caparros’ RCD Mallorca at Los Carmenes in this La Liga encounter. After a lively hour of play, the match was suspended when a match official was wounded by a spectator.
The match started lively after on-loan Portuguese midfielder, Gustavo Martins, scored for the hosts. It gave the home team a good return into the match after being run ragged in the first half. However, with less than half an hour to go, scenes at Los Carmenes turned ugly.
A spectator threw an umbrella onto the pitch that wounded an assistant referee. The clash was interrupted and the perpetrator identified. In what was a good gesture, the spectators pointed out the culprit.
As the minutes passed by, it was eventually decided to suspend the Primera Division encounter with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to set up an arbitration committee.
The chairman of Granada football club, Quique Pina, said the suspension of the meeting confirmed that police had the fan in custody who threw an umbrella from the stands.
"Our comprehension? We did not deserve it. The culprit was not a member, he was a minor and a juvenile," he said.
The young man came to La Liga fixture together with another co-host association to which he belongs to, at the invitation of the club’s request and under the supervision of a guardian.
Pina spared no adjectives in showing his repulsion at the incidents of the day. "We regret this act of violence that stains the image of the institution and the city. It is an un-presentable act within the stadium," he said.
Sixty minutes into the match and everyone on the stands were excited. Martins fouled a Mallorca player and was cautioned for his actions. The juvenile in audience was unable to calm down and supposedly took it personally.
He attacked Javier Rodriguez Aguilar, one of the colleagues of lineman Clos Gomez. The trio left the field for arbitration and medical treatment.
The medics attended to the assistant in the locker room. Aguilar rejected rumours of massive trauma and stated that he had suffered "a small scratch" on the face. However, Clos Gomez was adamant: "After an attack, we cannot continue."

Turkey: Besiktas - Galatasaray - 20/11/2011

Besiktas fans face 2-match ban
Besiktas fans could face a two-match ban after Galatasaray defender Emmanuel Eboue was repeatedly pelted with objects during a Turkish league game against Besiktas.
Eboue was repeatedly hit on the head Sunday with objects, including a lighter and a plastic water bottle.
The state-run Anadolu Agency said Monday that Besiktas fans also shouted abuse at Galatasaray midfielder Engin Baytar, while some dismantled seats and threw them at police, who tried to intervene.
Galatasaray players and referees continued to be pelted as they left the field protected by a line of police shields.
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim tried to calm Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo, who was angered by the assault, the agency reported.
The abuse came despite a decision by Turkey's big four clubs, including Galatasaray and Besiktas, not to allow visiting fans to attend games involving them in an effort to prevent violence. Turkey also introduced stringent anti-hooliganism laws in April, including prison terms for unruly fans.
The Star newspaper said Turkey's soccer federation had filed a report about the incident and that Besiktas fans could be barred from attending two home games. It did not cite a source for the report.
Federation and Galatasaray officials were not available for comment.
There were no reports of any arrests.
In September, Turkey came up with a radical solution for tackling crowd violence, banning men from attending games involving clubs that have been sanctioned for unruly behavior and letting only women and children in for free.
