A YOUNG Doncaster Rovers fan needed hospital treatment yesterday after being attacked on his way to the match at Bradford City.
The 15-year-old was set upon by a gang of men as he walked along Thurnscoe Road, Bradford, not far from the Valley Parade ground.
He was allegedly hit with a cricket bat and a pool cue and suffered head injuries. After making his own way to the stadium he was seen by a doctor in the medical room before being sent to Bradford Royal Infirmary. West Yorkshire Police say two men, aged 22 and 21, and a 15-year-old from Bradford were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Rovers won the game 1-0 to move within three points of a League One play-off place.

The MG Turbo hit a crash barrier on the hard shoulder, flipped over, skidded across and smashed into the central reservation.
