West Ham pledge to ban fighting fans "for life" after scrap breaks out during Europa League tie
West Ham United have issued an official statement in response to the video of two supporters fighting during their Europa League game against Astra Giurgiu.
As seen in the video above, one fan is being ejected from the stand but is involved in a fracas with a fellow supporter on the way out. Punches can be seen thrown while two stewards stand by helpless.
The man receiving the blows eventually makes his way down the stadium steps before entering another verbal exchange with a different supporter.
On Friday afternoon, West Ham released an official statement responding to the actions of the gentlemen involved. It read:
"West Ham United condemn unreservedly the behaviour of individuals involved in incidents captured on video during the fixture against Astra Giurgiu.
"This behaviour has no place in football and we will work with the police and other stakeholders to identify the individuals involved.
"Once identified, they will be banned from attending any West Ham United fixture for life and we will request the courts serve a banning order to prevent these individuals attending any football.
"More than 200,000 supporters have already attended our opening at the London Stadium and the West Ham United fans have been magnificent during the first four games.
"With more than 10,000 Under-16 Season Ticket Holders, we are a family-friendly Club and our priority is maintaining an inclusive environment for all home and away supporters.

Police intervened seriously against Rakow supporters as a result that 12 of them were sent to the hospital.

The game was stopped for 11 minutes during 2nd half after some Magdeburg supporters have invaded the pitch. Everything started because away fans have thrown firecrackers, detonators and 2 flares in direction of FCM families anc classical fans. Police intervened with pepper sprays and truncheons.

High risk game for this minor Munich derby game. After 50 minutes, the game was stopped due to a large use of firecrackers by TSV fans. There was alsos ome tension between both sides but finally only 4 people were arrested.

Troubles took place in the stadium after some RUch hooligans tried to enter the away stand. Police used pepper spray and have arrested 14 hooligans, inlcuding 13 locals. After the game, police also intervened in the train station area as 150 RUch fans wanted to attack special train with 700 Legia fans.
