Hungary fans clash with riot police in Marseille's Stade Velodrome
Hungary fans have clashed with stewards before their team’s game against Iceland at the European Championship in Marseille.
About 100 Hungarian fans wearing black near one corner of the stadium in Stade Vélodrome attempted to climb over a fence and join up with another group of Hungarian fans behind the goal.
There was pushing and shoving between fans and stewards before the stewards briefly backed off. Pepper spray also appeared to be used.
Many of the fans managed to cross over before riot police moved in and blocked off the area, allowing stewards to return.

Fan arrested for smuggling flare in rectum - 18/06/2016
Source : http://www.sportingnews.com/
An 18-year-old Frenchman has been arrested after he smuggled a flare hidden in his rectum into a fan zone.
The man succeeded in sneaking past security checks with the 4cm x 18cm flare hidden away, before lighting it once inside the Nice fan zone.
'The supporter managed to burn himself and two other fans,' said Nice prosecutor, Jean-Michel Pretre.
The fan, who had been watching France's 2-0 win over Albania, is set to appear in court on Monday.

UEFA charges Hungary for fan disorder during match against Iceland at Euro 2016 - 19/06/2016
Source : http://www.today.ng/
UEFA has charged the Hungarian football federation for fan disorder inside the stadium during their European Championship match against Iceland in Marseille.
UEFA says its disciplinary panel will judge charges of “crowd disturbances,” throwing objects and setting off fireworks on Tuesday.
Fans clashed with stewards and some police before the game when trying to climb a fence to enter a section behind one goal.
Riot police then formed in lines in front a section of Hungary fans, in the same end of Stade Velodrome where Russians attacked England fans one week earlier.
Hungary fans then lit or threw flares or firecrackers during the national anthems, when Iceland were awarded a penalty kick, and after their team scored a late goal in a 1-1 draw.
UEFA is likely to impose a fine.

Hungary, Belgium and Portugal charged by Uefa after crowd trouble - 19/06/2016
Source : http://www.stuff.co.nz/
Disciplinary proceeding have been opened by Uefa against Hungary, Belgium and Portugal after there was further crowd trouble at three Euro 2016 games on Saturday, the governing body said in a statement.
The Uefa Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has charge Portugal after at least one fan came onto the pitch seeking a selfie, following their scoreless draw with Austria on Saturday night, in which captain Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty.
The man ran across half the field from behind one goal at Parc des Princes and caught up with Ronaldo near the halfway line.
Ronaldo gestured to a security official to stay back until the fan got the picture. The fan was then led away.

Army, police and private security on duty in Saint-Etienne ahead of England's final group game
Security officials for England’s match in Saint-Etienne have said they are “not particularly worried” about fans causing trouble in the small town.
Karine Lanaud, from the Loire prefecture which is in charge of security for the region, said that local authorities were relaxed about the English invasion and were not planning to strengthen security measures.
“Our security measures will remain the same and we’ll play it by ear,” she said.
Inside the stadium, however, Uefa confirmed there will be “special arrangements” in place due to the arrival of Prince William today who will cheer on England for their final group match against Slovakia from the stands.
More than 1,100 police officers are being deployed in the Saint-Etienne area and 51 soldiers mobilised as thousands of fans descended on the town.
A total of 839 privately-hired security agents are also helping to monitor Slovakia and England supporters.

England fans attacked by mob of French hooligans in latest horror attack at Euro 2016
DRAMATIC footage captures the moment England fans are ambushed by a group of ‘Lyon Ultras’ who threw bottles and tables during the latest confrontation at Euro 2016.
Eyewitness said a notorious group of 30 local hooligans stormed a square attempting to provoke innocent Three Lions supporters into a mass brawl.
England fans were soaking up the pre-match atmosphere ahead of tonight’s fixture with Slovakia when they were set upon at around 7.30pm last night.
The cowardly thugs, thought to be from group of hooligans called the Bad Gones who support Olympique Lyonnais, were dressed all in black with red crosses on their arms.
The Three Lions supporters were taunted by the French yobs who threw bottles and chairs before police finally intervened.
Today those that witnessed the violence were quick to point out England fans were not to blame.
A barman at the Wallace pub, which was forced to close after the trouble, said: “It was locals, they are known around here for it.
“They call themselves the Bad Gones. They are hooligans who follow Olympique Lyon.”
Established during the 1980s the gang – known as the Bad Gones and the Cosa Nostra Lyon – are notorious for their hatred of other fans.

Over 550 fans arrested during Euro16 - 20/06/2016
Source : https://au.sports.yahoo.com/
A total of 557 "violent supporters" have been arrested so far at the European Championship, France's interior minister confirmed on Monday.
Speaking after a security meeting with local organisers and government officials, Bernard Cazeneuve said some of the troublemakers were given "very firm prison sentences."
The most visible violence at Euro 2016 occurred in Marseille in the opening days of the monthlong competition when England fans, Russia supporters and local youths clashed with each other and French riot police. Tear gas and water cannons were used to break up the trouble.
"With the exception of the first match in Marseille, which led to violence in the city centre, the measures taken immediately after this match in liaison with UEFA, but especially with the countries from which these supporters were coming, have enabled us to avoid new acts of violence, new fights in the centre of the host cities," Cazeneuve said.
In a statement, the government said 21 fans have been sent to jail and another six have been given suspended prison sentences. French authorities have ordered a further 25 supporters to be deported.
The hooligan threat at Euro 2016 comes amid heightened security in France after the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris, which claimed 130 lives.
Cazeneuve said that while the main focus "remains the terrorist threat, our objective is to continue mobilising all our forces and all our means, so that this competition can take place in the best possible conditions - even though, again, the constant mobilisation ... doesn't mean there is zero risk."
The 24-team tournament which started June 10 ends July 10.

Croatian FA fined €100,000 by Uefa and banned from selling tickets to 'hooligans' after Euro 2016 crowd trouble - 20/06/2016
Source : http://www.standard.co.uk/
The Croatian Football Federation has been fined 100,000 Euros following crowd disturbances, the throwing of missiles, use of fireworks and racist behaviour during the game against the Czech Republic on June 17, UEFA has announced.
Croatia's 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic was halted by referee Mark Clattenburg for five minutes in the closing stages on Friday as several flares were thrown onto the field.
Ante Cacic's side led 2-1 when the incident stopped proceeding and went on to concede a late penalty once play had resumed.
Fans were seen fighting among themselves as the game continued to its conclusion, with Cacic described the individuals responsible for the trouble as "sports terrorists".
The federation has also been prohibited from selling tickets to 'certain fans' identified as 'hooligans' along with the fine.

French security slammed after far-right Russian hooligan leader is arrested in Toulouse TWO DAYS after being deported - 20/06/2016
Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/
French security has come under fire after Russian hooligan Alexander Shprygin was arrested in Toulouse - just two days after being deported.
The leader of fighting Russian fans had been put on a flight to Moscow following violence at Russia's Euro 2016 match with England last week.
But he managed to return to France in an attempt to watch his team play Wales last night before being detained at the stadium in Toulouse.
Shprygin, who has alleged far-right links, revealed on Twitter how he had sneaked back in to France 'by an unusual route under cover of night' posting pictures of what appeared to be Barcelona airport. He appeared to have then traveled into France over land.
Questions will now be asked over how the hooligan was able to reach the football ground, having been deported.
One Twitter user wrote that it was 'unbelievable' that Shprygin had been able to return to France to watch the game, in which Russia were thrashed 3-0.
French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henri Brandet said Alexander Shprygin was detained at the stadium in Toulouse, three days after he was deported from France after authorities accused him of involvement in hooliganism.
'Detained tonight in the Toulouse stadium, Alexander Shprygin was placed in custody and his situation will be dealt with either administratively or with a judicial procedure,' Brandet said.
Shprygin was among 20 Russians deported to Moscow last week.
While his European Union visa was not cancelled when he was deported, he was forbidden to enter France and could have been immediately removed if he had flown into a French airport.

Meet ‘VASILY THE KILLER’ Reportedly Russia’s Most Vicious Hooligan - 21/06/2016
Source : http://www.craziestsportsfights.com/
According to reports from various sources, this is the man who orchestrated and led the vicious attacks against England football fans at Euro 2016.
Vasily “the Killer”, 35, is allegedly a dedicated Spartak Moscow fan and has led thousands in brawls against their rival firms in Russia.
He was a founder of the Spartak Gladiators band in 1996, a group of ultras who are affiliated with their favorite football team.
The team were the ‘unofficial’ hooligans for Spartak in the 1990s, who were a more hardcore splinter group of the infamous “Flint’s Crew”.
Most famously, Vasily led a group 1000 strong against rival firm Zenit in 2007. His mouthgard has been branded with his nickname.
The huge brawl, which took place in Severyanin, near Moscow, became the biggest fight in Russian football history.
It is reported that he was the man who organised a truce between rival Russian football hooligan groups to consolidate their toughest guys to focus on the huge tournament.
After promising to “absolutely obliterate” the English, he helped to lead the Russians in brutal battles with Three Lions fans.
He was allegedly was the man who organised the horrific brawls against the English last Saturday in Marseille, a move that has come under fire due to the fact they have been attacking regular England fans as most of the English hooligans have remained at home with confiscated passports.
During those attacks, two supporters were beaten into comas, while countless others were injured and abused after the tense football match.
According to prosecutors, the men who beat the fans into unconsciousness will face attempted murder charges.
The violence continued at England’s next match in Lille, as Welsh fans were also targeted by the Russians.
His cousin, lawyer Sergei Zhorin, insisted: ‘A number of foreign and Russian media have accused my cousin of organizing riots in France. It’s a lie! He was at his summer cottage.’
Zhorin added he was ready to take legal action to challenge claims that Vasily was in France and involved in the violence.
Vasily had previously told Life News in Russia that he hadn’t been an active hooligan ‘for a few years’. ‘I have a big family, I spend my energy there,’ he said.
Despite this, he was seen at an event for young Spartak fans in February this year. And mystery remains over the precise whereabouts of the supposedly home-loving hooligan.

England : Bradford City hooligan gang branded 'rag-bag thugs' as five jailed for total of 15 years - 21/06/2016
Source : http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/
BRADFORD’S notorious Ointment gang of football hooligans has been branded “a rag-bag of thugs” by a judge who has now sentenced five former members to a total of almost 17 years imprisonment.
Recorder Duncan Smith said the group’s objective was to “mete out violence unlawfully and indiscriminately” under the pretence of supporting Bradford City Football Club.
He told Bradford Crown Court “the Ointment was on tour” when a group of its members and their friends attacked two Halifax Town supporters in The Old Cock pub in Halifax on September 13, 2014.
The victims, Andrew Wilson and Charlie Harris, were themselves members of “a rival risk group” and subject to Football Banning Orders.
Mr Wilson suffered serious facial injuries when glasses and bottles were thrown in the violence that terrified the barman and caused extensive damage.
The defendants were celebrating the birth of a baby and had begun drinking in Bradford before moving on to Halifax.
Recorder Smith jailed Ben Leach, 26, of Timble Drive, Eldwick, near Bingley, for three years and four months in November last year, for unlawful wounding and violent disorder.
He also locked up Ricky Whiteley, 26, of Southmere Crescent, Great Horton, Bradford, for three years for violent disorder.
Yesterday Recorder Smith jailed three more for their roles in the violence.
Daniel Wright, 32, of Cutter Place, Laisterdyke, Bradford, and Anthony Ali, 32, of Church Street, Wibsey, Bradford, who were convicted by a jury of violent disorder, were each jailed for three and a half years.
Callum Ellis, 25, of Britannia Wharf, Bingley, pleaded guilty to violent disorder and was locked up for two and a half years.
Three co-accused, who all pleaded guilty to violent disorder, were spared immediate jail sentences.
Kayle Imeson, 28, of Shetcliffe Lane, Bierley, Bradford, and James Allen, 22, of Ashbourne Avenue, Swain House, Bradford, were each sentenced to two years imprisonment, suspended for two years.
Derrick White, 34, of Rowantree Drive, Thorpe Edge, Bradford, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.
Recorder Smith told Leach and Whiteley, who were jailed at Leeds Crown Court, and the three men imprisoned yesterday at Bradford Crown Court: “This case is not specifically concerned with football-related violence, however it is only one step removed.”
He said the Ointment was regarded by the police as a risk group.
“Membership of these sub-cultures might be regarded by the misguided as a badge of honour.
“But groups such as the Ointment are no band of brothers. They are a rag-bag of thugs, and I have to tell you that I regard membership of, or association with that group, to be a significant aggravating feature of offences committed in pursuit of its objectives.”
The trouble started when Charlie Harris verbally provoked Whiteley into punching him.
“All it took was one blow from Whiteley before the eight defendants mobilised themeselves into a ramshackle but overpowering rump of thugs, vastly outnumbering the opposition and caring nothing for the safety of the innocent users of those premises,” the judge said.
Lawyers for the six sentenced yesterday said all were hard-working family men who had stayed out of trouble in the 21 months since.
Ellis, who threw punches at Mr Harris, had previous convictions for football-related offending.
White, an Army veteran and factory shift manager, threw one punch. Imeson, sole carer for his injured mother, delivered a single kick at Mr Harris’s head.
Allen, a gifted student, threw a bottle or glass but played no part in the rest of the violence.
Wright, who had a football-related criminal record, repeatedly punched Mr Harris. Ali, who also had football-related convictions, punched Mr Harris in the head once.
The judge found that Imeson, Allen and White never belonged to the Ointment group.

Albania, Romania face UEFA disciplinary probe - 20/06/2016
Source : http://dailytimes.com.pk
UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings against Albania and Romania on Monday following incidents during Sunday’s Group A match at Euro 2016 in Lyon. Romania face charges after fans set off fireworks and threw objects, with Albania accused of similar offences in addition to allowing a pitch invasion. Eight of the 24 participating teams in France are the subject of UEFA disciplinary probes. European football’s governing body has already said Russia will be kicked out of the tournament if their fans cause more trouble inside a stadium. UEFA has also started proceedings against Croatia, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium and Portugal. Albania won Sunday’s game 1-0 to keep alive their slim hopes of advancing to the last 16, but defeat for Romania saw them eliminated.

Euro 2016: England fans are targeted by Belgian thugs while celebrating their 2-1 win over Wales as three Russian 'ultras' are jailed for up to two years in France - 16/06/2016
* The notorious far-group leader of the Russian supporters union Alexander Shprygin will be deported from France * He had been travelling with the official Russian FA delegation at Euro 2016 but was stopped on a bus going to Lille Streets of Lille turned into a battleground last night with hundreds of England fans in fresh clashes with Russians * Russian thugs chased after an English fan and punched and kicked him to the floor and ripped his shirt off his back * Three Russian 'Ultras' jailed for two years for their part in the violence that has overshadowed the tournament
England fans became the target of another group of hooligans tonight as Belgian supporters picked fights with celebrating Three Lions fans. More than 20 Belgian fans began taunting England fans as they celebrated their victory in Lille's main square. Minor scuffles broke out but were brought to an abrupt halt by riot police, who moved in quickly to tackle the troublemakers. Earlier in the day Belgian hooligans had revealed to MailOnline how they had come to France with the intention of causing trouble. One said: 'We are from all over Belgium, we support different teams but we are here together as one. We are not here for the [England vs Wales] match. We don't care who wins. We are here to make something happen.' The scuffles came after shocking new footage emerged showing England supporters being ambushed by fearsome Russian hooligans. Elsewhere, the notorious far-right leader of a Russian supporters group, Alexander Shprygin, was expelled from France while three Russian hooligans were jailed for their roles in three days of rioting in Marseille.
Shprygin, 38, who had been travelling with the official Russian FA delegation at Euro 2016, was stopped in a bus travelling to Lille on Tuesday. He was detained and transferred to a holding cell and will now be deported from France. He called the move a 'complete hellish outrage' and vowed to make a legal challenge. A French source said: 'He is among the Russians who are going to be expelled.' He had been identified by Fare Network, the organisation that monitors racism in stadiums, as a leading figure in introducing neo-Nazi views and practices to the Russian football scene since the late 1990s. He has also been photographed giving a Nazi salute with a singer from Russian far-right rock band, Korrozia Metalla. Shprygin was pictured alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin at a football fan's funeral in 2010. His supporters union is backed by the Kremlin and the arrests have infuriated Moscow, who summoned the French ambassador in protest. The Russian foreign ministry warned that 'further stoking of anti-Russian sentiments...could significantly aggravate the atmosphere in Russia-France relations'. A statement from the union said he and the other 19 fans have been transferred to a deportation centre from which they will be expelled in the next five days. In a further development, three Russians 'Ultras' have been jailed for their role in the Euro 2016 violence that has overshadowed the beginning of the tournament. A French court sentenced Alexei Erunov, Sergei Gorbachev and Nikolai Morozov to two years, 18 months and 12 months, respectively. Erunov is a director for fan relations at Lokomotiv Moscow whose hooligans were at the heart of the carnage. Part of the prosecution evidence was footage filmed by another Russian fan and posted online. Erunov was seen shouting and gesturing on the video, which also showed acts of violence.
Last night, the streets of Lille were last night turned into a battleground following Russia's 2-1 defeat to Slovakia at the city's Métropole stadium. Violent footage showed a group of fearsome Russian hooligans chasing after an English supporter and punching and kicking him to the ground. After the fresh round of violence, Russian supporters once again posed for the cameras with their stolen England 'trophy' flags saying 'we need more British banners'.
At least 37 people were arrested during the violence scenes that unfolded after the Group B match yesterday. A total of 16 people were hospitalised throughout the day, according to French authorities, amid chaotic scenes in the northern French city.
In the latest video, Russian fans were filmed sprinting after the English supporter. He was punched and kicked to the ground and had his T-shirt ripped off his back. As he tried to stumble clear from the thugs, he was attacked once again by the thuggish group of fans. The violent scenes in Lille came despite a warning from UEFA that both England and Russia could be booted out if the fighting continued.
Last night riot police fired tear gas at England fans involving in running brawls with Russian supporters, who were accused of launching bangers at them. More than 200 English fans had been drinking outside a bar close to the railway station when the mood turned ugly. A loud explosion - thought to be a firecracker - went off in the street nearby, which appeared to be a pre-arranged signal. Within seconds the mob of England fans surged out from the bar and along the main road bringing traffic to a standstill.
Chants of 'England, England,' went up and the mob ran at speed towards a side street chased by dozens of riot police. When the police penned in a large group of fans they fired tear gas and charged at them with batons. Several fans were seen being led away. Others emerged with red rimmed eyes and coughing from the effects of the tear gas. Police followed the mob back into the street as many made their way to the Grand Place - the scene of clashes on Tuesday night. Stan Collymore, the football commentator and former player, was among those sprayed with tear gas by riot police - despite screaming 'journalist, journalist!' at the officers. Police in the city made 37 arrests. Fifty people were injured and 16 were taken to hospital. At least six Russians were arrested yesterday, including one woman, by 4,000 officers and security staff given the task of rooting out the ultras hooligans.
Some England fans blamed a small minority of their countrymen for the violence. Disgusted supporters said drunken hooligans had attempted to live up to the big screen image of past generations – made notorious by films such as Green Street Hooligan and the Football Factory. Stephen Heywood, 28, from Chesterfield, told MailOnline: 'We are sick of it [the violence]. It is just young lads trying to live up to how England fans used to behave in the past. 'They get tanked up and they want to show off and act like the characters they have seen in films like Green Street Hooligan and the Football Factory. 'They push it too far and if they are not careful England will get banned from the competition.' Tom Kelly, 30, a warehouseman, from Chesterfield told MailOnline: 'Those lads are not real England fans. They did not come to watch the football. They just spend all the time drinking and getting into trouble. 'We went to watch the Russia [v Slovakia] match but all those lads did was get p***ed.'
It comes as it emerged a 'really violent' fight between up to 15 England and Wales fans had broken out on a train from Calais to Lille - prior to the two countries' meeting in their second game of Euro 2016. The brawl broke out in a carriage between 15 passengers from the two countries, according to a report in the La Voix Du Nord newspaper. Five were arrested for 'extreme drunkeness' when the train stopped at the station of Hazebrouck, after French police boarded the train.

Another posted a snap of himself carrying a can of Carling and holding a weapon – with his face obscured by a Bristol Rovers scarf.
Kids have also had “casual" clothing labels sewn into their school uniforms.
It comes after official statistics revealed under 18s are repeatedly being banned from football matches – with one fan aged just 12 among those prohibited from attending.
It suggests that football hooliganism, which has never been totally removed from the game since the old days of the 1970s and 1980s, retains an allure for teenagers.
The 12-year-old was banned following widespread disorder in Newcastle city centre after the Magpies were beaten 3-0 at home by arch rivals Sunderland in April 2013.
Northumbria Police said the boy threw missiles at opposition fans and was abusive.
There were also concerns that Football Banning Orders, introduced following trouble by England fans at major international tournaments, should be handed out as a last resort to children.
Concerned police are visiting schools to warn pupils they could end up with a serious criminal record, or badly hurt, in organised violence.
Amanda Jacks, a case worker with the Football Supporters' Federation, said young people should be steered away from trouble before banning orders and the criminal justice system were considered.
She said young fans behaving in a generally anti-social manner were targeted by the police, in a way that other gangs of youngsters were not.
Speaking about the "schooligan" phenomenon, she said: "There's no doubt that there is a glamourisation of football disorder and kids are attracted to it for the wrong reason.
"There does need to be some consistency - if 14, 15, 16-year-olds are getting banning orders, that should be the last resort, not the first."
The figures also showed a there were more than 120 over 50s, including a 60-year-old Arsenal fan and a man of 64 in the Lancashire Police area, who have been banned from attending games in the last three years.
The Home Office said in September that there were 2,181 people with a football banning order.

Euro 2016: Whitehall fears Russian football hooligans had Kremlin links - 21/06/2016
Source : The Guardian
UK government: we suspect many of those who attacked England supporters are in Russia’s uniformed services, fighting Putin’s ‘hybrid warfare’
Senior government officials fear the violence unleashed by Russian hooligans at Euro 2016 was sanctioned by the Kremlin and are investigating links with Vladimir Putin’s regime.
It is understood that a significant number of those involved in savage and highly coordinated attacks on England fans and others in Marseille and Lille have been identified as being in the “uniformed services” in Russia.
The theory is that the sanctioning of hooliganism by Putin is a continuation of what has been described as Russia’s campaign of “hybrid warfare”. Whitehall experts fear the tactic is a ploy to demonstrate Russian strength while building on a narrative inside the country that the rest of the world is lining up against it.
Following the violence in Marseille, fake Twitter accounts were reportedly set up to spread the view that Russian fans had been provoked. A senior Russian parliamentarian tweeted, “Well done lads, keep it up!”
Two England fans, Andrew Bache, 51, from Portsmouth, and Stewart Gray, from Hinckley, Leicestershire, were left in comas fighting for their lives after being attacked with hammers and iron bars by Russian hooligans.
Uefa, the European football authority, threatened to throw Russia out of the competition should there be a repeat of the scenes inside the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, where their fans tried to storm the English end of the stadium at the end of the England-Russia match.
A Whitehall source told the Observer that social media had been scrutinised to discover the backgrounds of those involved. “It is difficult to prove this was sanctioned by the Kremlin but we can see that a number of them are in the uniformed services in Russia,” the source said. “It looks like a continuation of the hybrid warfare deployed by Putin.”
The head of Britain’s Euro 2016 policing operation, Cheshire’s assistant chief constable Mark Roberts, said the attacks were the most serious and coordinated he had seen in 10 years specialising in football violence. He told how UK police spotters saw some 150 Russia fans “tooling up” with gum shields, fingerless martial arts gloves and bandanas.
A notorious leader of a Russian supporters’ group, Alexander Shprygin, was expelled from France after he was stopped on a bus travelling to Lille from the south of France after the trouble. He was among 43 fans detained. Shprygin, who was accompanying the official Russian delegation at the championships, was pictured alongside Putin at a football fan’s funeral in 2010.
Moscow has denounced the detaining of Russian fans and accused the French authorities’ actions as “further stoking of anti-Russian sentiments”.
On Friday Putin laughed off fan violence at the Euros and urged local authorities in France to treat supporters from all countries equally. He said the violence was a disgrace, but added: “I don’t know how 200 fans could hurt several thousand Englishmen.”
He also said he was willing to reach out to Europe to mend relations following the Ukraine crisis but insisted the west was responsible for the bad blood: “European business wants and is ready to work with our country. European politicians need to reach out to business, to show wisdom, far-sightedness and flexibility,” he said. “We remember how all this started. Russia did not initiate today’s collapse. We hold no grudge and are willing to reach out to our European partners, but obviously this can’t be a one-sided game.”
Uefa has fined Russia €150,000 (£119,000) and imposed a suspended disqualification as punishment for its supporters’ part in the mayhem in Marseille.

Euro 2016: Slovakian hooligans wearing England shirts vow violence tonight after Euro 2016 game… and pick up where Russia left off - 21/06/2016
SLOVAKIA’S ‘maddest and baddest’ football yobs will be free to roam France to ‘finish’ England supporters as the country does not issue hooligan banning orders.
Right-wing yobs have vowed to take over where the Russian Ultras left off and terrorise innocent Three Lions fans on the streets of St Etienne before and after tonight’s match.
There was trouble between the two sets of fans when they met in the Euro 2004 qualifiers in Bratislava in 2002.
Some have already taken to the internet to issue their threats.
A fan of slavic side FC Nitra posted on a fan site: “The big game is England.
“It could be our last. We will finish them.’
Another vowed: “Our maddest and baddest will be there. England better watch out.”
Slovakian football hooligans are among the worse behaved in Europe.
Their domestic games can be brutal, with mass brawls regularly erupting between football firms like the Trenchtown Gangsters, the Terror Boys, Rebels VSS, the Bulldogs ’95 and the Red Upland Warriors.
Some thugs are known to carry knives, wear knuckle dusters and even brandish firearms, reports the Daily Star.
Slovakian fans wear Burberry hats and mimic popular Three Lions chants. Some even wear England shirts to games.
The National Police Chief’s Council believe the UK is “one of the few” countries stopping the worst footie thugs from going to France.
No such rule applies to the biggest and hardest Slovakian thugs though.
Assistant Chief Constable Mark Roberts said: “The UK is one of a few countries that have legislative powers to stop those subject to football banning orders from travelling to games overseas.”
But security officials for the match have said they are “not particularly worried” about fans causing trouble in the small town.
Karine Lanaud, from the Loire prefecture which is in charge of security for the region, said that local authorities were relaxed about the English invasion and were not planning to strengthen security measures.
“Our security measures will remain the same and we’ll play it by ear,” she said.
Inside the stadium, however, Uefa confirmed there will be “special arrangements” in place due to the arrival of Prince William today who will cheer on England for their final group match.
More than 1,100 police officers are being deployed in the Saint Etienne area and 51 soldiers mobilised as thousands of fans descended on the town.
A total of 839 privately-hired security agents are also helping to monitor Slovakia and England supporters.
The game is regarded as a high-risk match because of a history of trouble between the two sides when supporters have fought each other in the past.
In Saint-Etienne shops and supermarkets have been banned from selling alcohol to fans on match days from 10:00 pm until the next morning – although the restrictions have been hard to enforce.
Top official Evence Richard said: “For security reasons, selling alcohol in public spaces will be banned. And we will ask hotel, restaurant and cafe owners to remove their terraces to make sure chairs and tables won’t be used as projectiles if things go wrong.”
The town has fully embraced the spirit of the tournament, with a festival atmosphere in stark contrast to the tension felt in Marseille and Lille, where England supporters clashed with fans and police.
A fan “village” has been set up in the main square, in addition to the formal main fan zone, and there is even a “fan camp” for those wishing to use tents and use a park and ride shuttle.
Restaurant owner Camille Meunier, 48, said everyone in the town was grateful for the tourists.
She said: “We do not get many visitors to Saint-Etienne, that is why the tournament is so good. We love to welcome them all as it is very good for business.
“We hope people will visit the shops and cafes and restaurants in the town – not just in the fan zone – because we have great food here.
“Everyone is friendly and there will not be any trouble here.”
Bar owners in St Etienne had created a 'Glastonbury style' atmosphere in the match city with music sound systems and circus acts for fans to enjoy ahead of the game.
