Groningen and Bielefeld football hooligans to face court today - 15/07/2021
Source : Northerntimes.nl
Seven suspects will have to face a Dutch court today for taking part in a massive brawl between FC Groningen hooligans and DSC Arminia Bielefeld hooligans on September 5, 2020 in the Grote Kromme Elleboog and the Turftorenstraat. The announcement comes from the Dutch public prosecution service, the Openbaar Ministerie. As reported by the GIC.
Of the approximately forty suspects that were involved in the violence, nineteen have been identified by the Dutch and German police: ten Dutch hooligans and nine German hooligans. The first five Dutch suspects will appear in court in Groningen on Friday.
German suspects sentenced in Germany The German suspects have now been tried in Germany. The convictions range from community service, thousands of euros in fines and an unconditional prison sentence of ten months.
Dutch suspects headed for a similar fate So five of the ten Dutch suspects will be on trial tomorrow. Two others have to appear in court at a different time because their defense has been prevented.
The case against three Dutch suspects has been dropped due to insufficient evidence.
‘Nothing to do with club love’ Shocking images of the massive fight between the hooligans in the Grote Kromme Elleboog and the Turftorenstraat went viral on social media. “What happened on September 5, 2020 has nothing to do with club love,” said the public prosecutor.

The brutal action in front of the stadium in the Burgas residential area “Lazur” took place a few minutes ago, eyewitnesses told Flagman.BG. According to them, at least 20 people from each side of the “Neftohimik” and “Spartak Varna” agitators fought in front of the entrance to “Efbet Arena”. This happened after the supporters of the two teams, who feel an unimaginable hatred for each other, met in front of sector “B”. There is a grandstand where the fans’ agitators are located. Spartak Varna is to the right of the sector and Neftohimik – in the central part. Police officers who were on the scene managed to quickly ease the tension, but there are still at least five injured and arrested.
The match between Neftohimik and Spartak Varna is currently underway at Lazur Stadium. Fans are still allowed inside, despite the escalation before the start of the match, which began at 6:30 pm and which is part of the battles of the Second Professional League.
In such matches, the presence of the police in the stadium area, like today, is particularly strengthened precisely because of the football agitators, who often find themselves in similar situations before the matches of their favorite teams.
At the moment it is not known what he will do after leaving the post. The citizens of Burgas are on their pitch, which means that in the event of a possible loss of “Spartak Varna” there could be consequences for the stadium.

Polish football hooligans allegedly physically assault Romani man in Přerov, Czech Republic for objecting to their racist comments - 26/07/2021
Source : http://www.romea.cz/
Yesterday evening in Přerov, Czech Republic a 45-year-old Romani man was assaulted, and once again the attackers are alleged to have been football hooligans, this time apparently from Poland. The Romani man was hospitalized for his injuries.
Local Romani residents filmed the assailants driving away from the scene of the attack. Police in Přerov are addressing the entire incident and have opened a criminal prosecution on suspicion of the crimes of battery and rioting.
"On Sunday before 20:00, according to the preliminarhy investigation, a 45-year-old man was walking along Kojetínská Street from the market to Husova Street. According to eyewitness testimonies, unidentified men of foreign nationality were driving by in vehicles who insulted him and shouted at him. When he objected to their behavior, several of them got out of their vehicles and ran after him. The man who had been targeted by their insults wanted to escape, but a number of the foreign nationals caught up with him and assaulted him by kicking and punching him all over his body. They then got back in their cars and drove toward Husova Street," police spokesperson Miluše Zajícová told news server Romea.cz.
"My wife and grandchildren and I took a walk to buy some food for a barbecue and on our way home we passed by these cars from which those men were shouting racist abuse. Our grandkids were with us, so I yelled at them to calm down, that there were children there," Jaroslav Džuga told news server Romea.cz.
The aggressors' attack happened quite quickly. "About 20 guys ran up to me. My wife escaped with the children because she was afraid. The guys caught up with me, pushed me to the ground and began kicking me. They called me a 'black mug' the whole time," Džuga said.
Luciano Karala, a relative of Džuga, saw the assault through a window. "We heard those men shouting racist abuse, so I looked out of the window. I noticed cars parked in the road with Polish license plates. It all happened really quickly. The group of more than 20 men jumped out of the cars and ran up to him. They beat him down, then quickly retreated and drove away," Karala told Romea.cz, who also managed to film the attackers' departure with his smartphone.
After the assailants drove off, eyewitnesses called the police and an ambulance. "I was lying on the ground, I felt like sleeping. The police, my wife, and other people were standing around me. They kept telling me not to fall asleep," Džuga said.
"The police were on the scene quickly. They told us to take him to the hospital ourselves. We told them we had called an ambulance, but it didn't arrive for more than 45 minutes," Karala described the situation after the attack.
According to the police spokesperson, emergency services brought the injured man to the hospital for treatment. "With respect to this isolated incident we have opened a criminal proceedings on suspicion of the crimes of battery and rioting," she told Romea.cz.
