West Ham United - Manchester United - 02/01/2017

Source : http://www.dailystar.co.uk/

MORE trouble at London Stadium as angry West Ham fans scrap with stewards in Man U loss

Furious Hammers fans have been caught on camera in the latest clip of violence emerging from the London Stadium.

In the clip, fans can be seen squaring up to stewards with fists flying and missiles thrown as the rest the stand sends down a barrage of verbal abuse to staff members.

Tempers were flared after the controversial early sending off of Sofiane Feghouli by referee Mike Dean.

And as a toxic atmosphere took hold, supporters can be seen taking out their frustration on security staff.

The footage was uploaded to Facebook and rival fans were quick to criticise the aggressive Hammers.

Ben Davies wrote: “West Ham are an embarrassment. No other club would you see this with its own stewards. Idiots.”

Andrew Richards added: “It’s not the 80s anymore. Hang up the Stone Island jackets and stop acting like a bunch of w*****s.”

While Scott Seddon simply put: “Scum club with a rented ground. Says it all.”

But the footage shown was a brief, isolated incident inside the ground and the game largely went by without incident off the pitch with no arrests.

Violence at the ground has noticably dropped ever since bloody scenes interrupted the League Cup clash with Chelsea.

West Ham went on to lose the fixture 2-0 with goals from Juan Mata and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Jose Mourinho’s men.

Fans were already fearful of violence after the Manchester United team bus was attacked in the same fixture last season.

When contacted by Daily Star Online, West Ham United chose not to comment but stressed the lack of any real trouble before or after the match.

Paris Metro Chelsea FC incident: Fans get fines and suspended sentence for racist violence - 04/01/2017

Source : http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/

Four Chelsea fans were accused of pushing Souleymane Sylla, 34, off a Paris Metro train and then chanting a racist song before a Champions League away game

Four Chelsea fans have been found guilty of racist violence in Paris, almost two years after they allegedly blocked a black man from boarding a Paris metro train.

The Chelsea supporters were given suspended prison sentences ranging from six months to a year.

They must also pay 10,000 euros (£8,500) in damages to the victim.

The incident happened in February 2015 before a Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.

Video showed Souleymane Sylla being pushed off the train by Chelsea supporters, who were singing: "We're racist, we're racist, and that's the way we like it."

Joshua Parsons, a 21-year-old trainee scaffolder from Surrey, appeared at the Paris Correctional Court along with Jamie Fairbairn, a 25-year-old civil engineer from Surrey.

Two other defendants – Richard Barklie, 50, of County Antrim, and William Simpson, 25, also from Surrey – were tried in their absence after refusing to travel back to France.

In a previous hearing in July 2015 at Stratford Magistrates' Court, Judge Gareth Branston said Parsons, who used to work for a finance company in central London, played a "leading role" in the racist abuse towards Mr Sylla, and in him being shoved.

The judge said Parsons used a rude gesture "indicating self love" to police, before racially abusing and pushing Mr Sylla.

He yelled "where were you in World War Two" and "f*** the IRA" as he hung out of the train carriage and pumped his fist.

Video footage caught him pushing two PSG supporters off the train shortly before Mr Sylla.

Mr Sylla said: "That's things we used to see in films actually. I used to hear the story of Rosa Parks," referring to the American civil rights pioneer arrested in 1955 for refusing to give her bus seat to a white passenger.

"I didn't believe it would happen to me", he told FranceInfo radio.

Two French anti-racist associations, SOS Racisme and LICRA, backed Mr Sylla's legal action.

Four people have been charged by police after a man was knocked unconscious following Hibs' win over Dundee United last night.

Police arrested four men for the assault and they have since been charged and will appear in court.

West Ham United - Crystal Palace - 14/01/2017

Source : https://www.thesun.co.uk/

Police involved as West Ham fans take Dimitri Payet anger out on Crystal Palace as latest trouble breaks out inside London Stadium

WEST HAM’S troubles continued on Saturday afternoon against Crystal Palace as police were called in to break up confrontations with visiting fans in the London Stadium.

The Hammers have been hit for six by the news star man and £125,000-a-week hero Dimitri Payet has gone on strike and demanded a transfer away from Slaven Bilic’s side.

And, around 30 minutes into the clash against former manager Sam Allardyce, officers were called in help deal with a disturbance as tempers flared among the fuming fans.

Troublemakers were clearly seen being identified by senior members of the force who were called upon to assists stewards.

Hammers fans in claret and blue are seen goading their Premier League rivals but there appears to be no serious crowd trouble to require the added security.

The stadium has hosted a number of concerning clashes since the club moved in during the summer but changes have been made to ensure the safety of visitors.

Bilic blew his top on Thursday at the pre-match press conference, going public with all the gory details about his want-away playmaker.

A security guard was also posted outside the ground to protect a painting of the midfielder that was going to the target of defacing.

Wolverhampton Wanderers - Aston Villa - 14/01/2017

Source : http://www.expressandstar.com/

Aston Villa fans sent back to Birmingham before Wolves game

Officers surrounded the Angel Inn on Bilston Road, Bilston, where around 55 Villa supporters had gathered for pre-match drinks.

A total of 35 fans were issued with dispersal orders and escorted to the nearby Priestfield metro station where they were put on a tram back to Birmingham despite having tickets for the game.

Midland Metro said it had handed Tram 24 over to West Midlands Police and that it was out of service for a period for this afternoon.

Inspector James Merchant confirmed there had been no fighting but police were concerned that the size of the group could have lead to an outbreak of disorder.

About 30 police officers, some with dogs, took part in the operation between 3pm and 5pm.

RB Leipzig - Glasgow Rangers - Friendly - 15/01/2017

Source : https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/

Anti-hooligan cops will travel to Germany over fears Rangers’ friendly with RB Leipzig could be hijacked by crazed soccer casuals

The Ibrox side are set to play RB Leipzig on Sunday with more than 8,000 fans expected to head for the city.

Local anti-fascist group Leipzig Antifa warned members to be wary of potential violence involving hooligans connected to other clubs in Germany and the UK.

There are also fears that members of the city’s wing of neo-nationalist group PEGIDA could target the match.

Members of the branch, known as LEGIDA, caused carnage in Leipzig last January when hooligans destroyed shops and plotted to attack local football club Red Star. More than 100 thugs were arrested after the rally.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “As with all high profile international football matches, Police Scotland officers liaise with international counterparts as a matter of course.

“Police Scotland officers will travel from Glasgow to Leipzig to support established policing arrangements.”

Rangers chiefs warned fans not to cover their faces inside the Red Bull Arena and have been banned from walking to the stadium in large groups without permission, after a request from the German club.

City of Leipzig Police Department told Light Blues fans: “Our purpose is to guarantee the safety of all visitors and make this an enjoyable event for all, we would appreciate your support.

“Do not cause any provocations that may cause more trouble or violence. Follow the instructions of the marshals and police.

“Please consider that provocative actions may not only be a risk for your own safety but also for the safety of other visitors.

“We will stop any violent or aggressive behaviour immediately and consequently and report to the appropriate authority.”

RB Leipzig, owned by energy drinks giant Red Bull, attracted controversy after climbing from the fifth division to the Bundesliga in just seven years.

Club chiefs last night confirmed they were aware of safety concerns surrounding Sunday’s match.

A RB Leipzig spokesman said: “Of course we take the issue of security seriously.

Australia : Newcastle Jets - Perth Glory - 15/01/2017

Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

Crushed A-League fans scream in pain when fence collapses during Newcastle Jets goal celebration in clash against Perth Glory

An A-League soccer celebration turned ugly when a boundary fence collapsed and a number of young supporters were crushed under the weight of a surging crowd.
Andrew Nabbout from the Newcastle Jets raced to his fans after putting his side ahead 2-1 in a tight clash with Perth Glory at Hunter Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
But as spectators raced to the front to embrace the forward, a flimsy wire fence separating the pitch from the stands buckled under the weight.
Horrific footage aired on Fox Sports shows one young supporter screaming out in pain as bodies pile on top of him, trapped underneath the immense weight.

'We've got to be careful with these fans - that fence has collapsed,' Fox Sports commentator Simon Hill observed .
'One or two of those Jets supporters look to be in real discomfort.'
As bodies were pulled up one by one, eventually just one man was left lying on the grass. He attempted to stand up with assistance but appeared to fall back down.

Luckily, it appeared that no-one suffered any serious injuries.
'Wasn't pretty but thankfully everyone is okay. One youngster has some minor bruising but that's it,' tweeted Fox Sports reporter Daniel Garb.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed that they had received no calls for New Lambton, where the stadium is located.

Riot police called as Sporting fans protest after defeat

Sporting were beaten 1-0 on Tuesday night, ending any realistic hopes of winning a major trophy this season.

The players faced their first protest as they left the stadium where dozens of angry supporters waited by the team bus, forcing riot police to form a cordon around the vehicle.

After flying back to Lisbon, the players were greeted by more irate fans when they arrived at the Alvalade stadium to pick up their cars in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Armed police again had to form a barrier to keep the supporters at a distance and allow the players to drive away safely, television pictures showed. No serious incidents were reported.

'Our holiday is over' Gloating Russian thugs who battered England fans at Euro 2016 freed - 18/01/2017

Source : http://www.dailystar.co.uk/

TWO Russian thugs sentenced in France for a brutal attack on English fans have been sent back home – still protesting their innocence.

Sergey Gorbachev and Alexei Yerunov spent only six months in a French prison for attacking English football fans in June last year during the Euro 2016 that was held in France.

Reportedly all three were identified by the French court and French police as persons involved in the fights with Englishmen.

However they claimed they were stitched up and Russian media widely reported that their guilt "was not properly proven", claiming there was a lack of evidence.

Also jailed alongside them was pal Nikolay Morozov, who was released a month ago.

“Our French vacation is now over, thanks to all those who supported us”
Alexei Yerunov
As they flew out of the country, Alexei Yerunov wrote on social media: "Our French vacation is now over, thanks to all those who supported us".

He previously said: "I admit I was present at the scene, but I did nothing. My hands are clean."

The pair are reportedly leading members of the Russian Fans’ Union and repeatedly challenged the sentence, and it was reduced several times before they were finally released this week still denying their alleged role in the clashes between England and Russia supporters in Marseille in summer.

Local authorities had to use teargas smoke pellets and water cannons to disperse the crowds as numerous violent clashes took place in the southern city before and after the countries met up in the group stage.

Gorbachev was initially jailed for 18 months and Yerunov 24 months.

Three arrested after violence at Barnsley v Leeds United match

Three football supporters were arrested after fighting broke out on the terraces during a Yorkshire derby and spilled into a town centre. Police today confirmed that four people had been thrown out of the stadium as Leeds United took on hosts Barsnley FC on Saturday.

Three arrests were also made later for public order offences and being drunk and disorderly. Video footage emerged of punches being thrown by fans on the terraces at Oakwell, with reports of some violence later in Barnsley town centre. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Following the football match between Leeds and Barnsley on Saturday two people were arrested for drunk and disorderly, one arrest was made for public order offences and four people were ejected from the stadium.” He said the arrests were all made due to offences committed in the town centre.

Fighting reportedly broke out in the home end and in the corner by the away end after Chris Wood scored on 18 minutes. It was said to have taken police and stewards 15 minutes to restore order, but the remainder of the game passed without incident.

Caley Thistle - Elgin City - Scottish Cup - 21/01/2017

Source : https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/

Rival fans filmed in violent street battle following Caley Thistle v Elgin match

The nine-second clip shows fans of Elgin City and Inverness Caledonian Thistle scrapping after the pair met in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

At the start of the video, which appears to take place outside Elgin’s ground, one fan is tugged to the ground and has his head smashed on to a railing.

When the fan remains on the floor, a rival supporter can be seen kicking him in the ribs, and another punches him in the face.

In the background, some fans can be seen trading blows to the face, and others are shoved out of the view of the camera into the underpass.

The footage has been condemned by supporters of both clubs and the wider Scottish football community, with many reacting with horror on social media.

One supporter, Scozia Granata said: “Sad sad sad, not good enough to be football fans, not tough enough to be hooligans, just scrapping idiots.”

Mike Forteath added:” This was not fans this was young idiots who thought they were it nothing to do with the football none had colours just young boys creating s***.”

The video has been viewed over 169,000 times since being posted on the Scottish Football Away Fans Facebook page yesterday evening.

Last night, Police Scotland confirmed they were investigating the incident.

A spokeswoman said: “Officers are making enquiries and would appeal to anyone who saw anything or who may have footage on their phone to contact police.”

Divisional Commander for Moray Chief Inspector Stewart Mackie said: “We have been made aware of the videos circulating on social media from after the game and would encourage anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible on 101.”
