Disorders during cup game Hoek against Heerenveen, police use batons and pepper sprays.

In Hoek (Zeeland), disturbances took place during the cup game between third divisionist HSV Hoek and SC Heerenveen. The police came and had to keep groups of supporters at a distance with batons and pepper sprays.
The game in Zeeland ended after extra time in 2-4 for the visitors. According to the police, end of the game seemed to be the starting signal to go wild. "During the match, heavy fireworks and balaclavas were found near the football field, which had been laid out," the police wrote on Instagram.

According to a sports reporter from the Leeuwarder Courant, who was present in Hoek, heavy fireworks were thrown. 'Supporters' of HSV Hoek, with hoods over their heads, were also looking for a confrontation with Heerenveen supporters.

The police had to act both outside the sports complex and along the field, says a police spokesperson. At Hoek's sports complex, “it became increasingly grim. Beer and other objects were thrown.” Police used a baton and pepper spray against the troublemakers. After the actions of the officers, calm returned, the spokesperson says, "and no further action was necessary".

Football fans movement could be banned after Apollon-APOEL violent incident

Movement of football fans could be banned after the latest bloody incident that occurred during the football match between Apollon and APOEL at Limassol’s Tsirion Stadium on Sunday.

One fan was injured and three others were arrested when supporters of the two teams got into a fight inside the playing field.

The injured person is also under arrest for the incident and police investigation is ongoing.

Police used tear gas inside the stadium to disperse rioting fans as well as AIAS armoured vehicle, according to Philenews.

At the same time, police have already sent a letter to the federation of team sports in which serious concerns were expressed and the measure of the movement of fans was underlined.

“The movement of organized fans on the highways presents great problems and risks since their behaviour is not different from the one we see inside stadiums,” the letter notes.

“This phenomenon has again begun to take on alarming proportions and we regret to note that banning fans’ movement should be seriously considered,” it added.

Saturday afternoon, some 200 Preussen Munster supporters (who travelled back from a game played in Dusseldorf) and Rot Weiss Ahlen (who played in Oberhausen) have started a massive fight.
The train station was closed to people as the fight took place.
Police forces intervened and four of them were seriously injured.
