Dutch police said they made 72 arrests in Rotterdam after trouble among Feyenoord fans watching their team's Europa Conference League final defeat to Roma in Tirana.

Two emergency personnel were slightly injured, Dutch broadcaster NOS also reported. A bus and a tram were damaged."Heavy destruction" was caused in several areas of Rotterdam, a police spokesman said, adding that officers had used water cannons.

Riot police attacked after ADO Den Haag lose dramatic play-off final

The violence began inside the stadium at the end of a match in which ADO looked to be coasting to victory, only to let a 3-0 lead slip in the last 12 minutes after their midfielder Tyrese Asante was sent off.

In total, 14 police officers, 17 fans and two Auxerre players suffered light injuries in the post-match incident, according to a press release from state service Préfète de la Loire. Police were able to safely escort the players and the 1,154 Auxerre fans away from the stadium.
