US Cremonese - AC Mantova - 18/01/2015
Source : http://rt.com/
Tensions in Cremona between left and right wing groups have been boiling for the last week. On January 18, members of the far-right group CasaPound gathered to watch a local football match, which included members travelling from Parma and Brescia to offer their support. Following the game, the group marched towards the headquarters of the Dordoni cultural center –left leaning and champion of local residents’ rights.
Emilio is well known in Cremona as an anti-fascist activist. He was severely beaten as around 40 far-right supporters lay siege to the center. Activists working with the center complained that police merely identified the offenders and they were released without charge. However, according to their version of events, law enforcement officers decided to arrest activists aligned to the Dordoni center, despite them being heavily outnumbered and they were defending their property.

Standard Liège fans face five-year stadium bans for Steven Defour banner
The Belgian authorities and the country’s football federation are seeking action against Standard Liège fans who displayed a banner showing a drawing of a beheaded Anderlecht player before their weekend match.
The banner which said, Red or Dead, referred to the Standard colours and also showed a drawing of a masked man with a knife and the head of Anderlecht midfielder Steven Defour, who used to play for Standard before moving to rivals Anderlecht.
The display caused uproar and the interior ministry said it is considering sanctions that could include a five-year stadium ban and a fine of €5,000 (£3,742) for each individual supporter involved. “We’re working together with police to catch as many of the authors of this banner as possible,” a spokeswoman for the interior ministry said.
Anderlecht’s Steven Defour sees red over Standard Liège fans’ banner Read more The foreign minister, Didier Reynders already called the banner “tasteless, stupid and unacceptable.” Defour was sent off in the match Standard won 2-0.
Yves Leterme, a Standard Liège supporter and former prime minister, also expressed his disappointment. “Standard-Anderlecht has been ruined by a minority of supporters. I remain a supporter but feel ashamed by the banner,” he wrote on Twitter.

Scotland : 12 fans arrested over Dundee United v Aberdeen violence - 28/01/2015
Source : https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk
Police in Aberdeen and Dundee arrested 12 men yesterday in connection with violence and antisocial behaviour during a heated clash between Aberdeen and Dundee United last month.
The Dons won the December 13 game at Tannadice 2-0, but the day was marred by more than a dozen arrests.
Police were called to the Ambassador pub on Clepington Road in Dundee after fans were involved in scuffles. Mounted officers also had to deal with about 30 “casuals” who had descended on the Snug Bar near the stadium.
Yesterday about 50 officers across both cities, working with officials from the clubs, carried out further arrests in what police described as an “ongoing campaign”.
Eight were from the Aberdeen area, including addresses in Cove and Mastrick, and four from Dundee. Police said the Aberdeen arrests involved a 17 year-old, two men aged 18, one aged 20, two aged 21, a 25-year-old and a 48-year-old. They will appear in court at a later date.
The Dundee men are aged 17, 18, 19 and 41.Chief Inspector Murray Main of Aberdeen city division said: “Football-related violence has reduced over the years thanks in part to the excellent partnerships between police and football clubs. However there remains a small element intent on causing antisocial behaviour.”
Chief Superintendent Eddie Smith of Tayside division said: “One of the many benefits of Police Scotland is that operations such as these can be co-ordinated across neighbouring divisions in order that offenders who engage in disorder can be targeted quickly and effectively.”

England : Aston Villa fan 'made Nazi salute' to German police officer at away game - 29/01/2015
Source : http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/
Ambulance worker Jason Southall, from Walsall, denies a charge of racially aggravated harassment
An Aston Villa fan and ambulance worker has gone on trial accused of making a Nazi salute to a German police officer at a football match.
Jason Southall allegedly made the ten-second gesture to the woman officer when Villa played at Liverpool on September 13 last year.
Christine Leveth, who was wearing her German force uniform, was on attachment to Merseyside Police when she attended the match at Anfield, a court heard on Thursday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service worker Southall, 44, of Copperas Road, Walsall, has denied a charge of racially aggravated harassment.
Angela Conlan, prosecuting, told South Sefton Magistrates’ Court: “You will hear from three civilian witnesses, in effect stewards at the game, relating to observations of the defendant.
“What you will hear is that they saw the defendant execute a Nazi-style salute when he was near a female German police officer, who was in a German police uniform.
“Christine Leveth was posted at the location on attachment to Merseyside Police from Germany.
“She was wearing a German police uniform with ‘polizei’ on the rear.
“She did not hear or see anything relating to the alleged incident.”
The court heard Southall was among Villa fans in the concourse beneath the away fans’ enclosure.
Liverpool’s head steward Stephen Lawrence said he saw Southall make the gesture and felt “shocked and ashamed”.
Mr Lawrence said: “There was a German police officer walking up the steps.
“The gentleman ahead of me made a Nazi salute.”
Mr Lawrence said the salute lasted ten seconds.
He added that Southall, who was wearing a Villa shirt, “bowed” his head and his body “went rigid”.
Mr Lawrence said he and other stewards took the defendant to one side to question him about the alleged incident.
The witness said: “He told me: ‘How do you know I was making that gesture at the police officer.
“I could have been making that to someone else in the crowd’.”
Richard Lacey, defending, denied his client made that comment and had told him: “I didn’t make no Nazi salute”.
He suggested Mr Lawrence had pinpointed the wrong man.
Mr Lacey added: “I put it to you that my client was wearing a navy blue top and was standing facing away from you at the time when this was suggested to have gone on.”
The trial was adjourned until March 6.

Hundreds of Ankaragücü fans faced police intervention when a clash erupted after they tried to enter Ankara's Cebeci İnönü Stadium ahead of the Turkish Cup Group match between Gençlerbirliği and Cizrespor on Thursday. Three people were detained following the fracas after police cameras saw them wielding knives. Ankaragücü fans chanted slogans such as “We are not terrorists, we are Ankaragücü fans,” in a clear reference to recent deadly clashes between supporters of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and police in Cizre, a town in the southeastern province of Şırnak.
